Sacramento City Councilwoman Mai Vang, a far-left Democrat now seeking a seat in Congress, is under fire after renewed attention to her repeated refusal to recite the Pledge of Allegiance and instances in which she reportedly turned her back on the American flag during public meetings.
Vang is currently serving on the Sacramento City Council while mounting a challenge for California’s 7th Congressional District seat.
For millions of Americans, the Pledge of Allegiance is a simple expression of gratitude and patriotism, a moment to honor the republic, the Constitution, and the generations of Americans who fought and died defending freedom.
Apparently, for Mai Vang, it’s something else entirely.
Vang, the daughter of Hmong refugees from Laos who came to America seeking freedom and opportunity, has chosen to spit in the face of the very flag that protected her family and the nation that gave her a platform, public office, and now a shot at Congress. Vang, who is attempting to unseat longtime Democratic Rep. Doris Matsui in the June primary election, is currently polling neck-and-neck with the incumbent and slightly ahead of Republican Zachariah Wooden.
Vang, the daughter of Hmong refugees, has had several notable incidents in which she refused to take part in the Pledge — from a Veterans Day ceremony last year to district meetings on Jan. 22 and March 26, as well as a Sacramento City Council meeting on July 1, 2025.

Don’t Congressmen have to take an oath that states they have a loyalty to this country? If so, how would she ever get seated? Her documented actions would show anything she said in that regard was a lie.
It’s not what happened in 2018 when during the FIFA World Cup time we had to say “Usama!” during the national anthem on July 4 as Mexico was still in the Russia-hosted tournament that the Yanks did not qualify. “Usama!” is a Mexican chant aimed at Americans especially after Mexico eliminates Sam’s Army, and is used to illustrate tort reform.
What we have here is a woman in Northern California doing a Kaepernick after being taught the stupidity of the Left, not explaining tort reform in a nutshell.
Send the little heathen back where she came from, preferably in baggage section.

Early life and education
Vang was born in Sacramento, California, to Hmong refugees from Laos who fled after the Vietnam War.[4][5] She is the eldest of 16 children and grew up impoverished[1][4] in the Meadowview and Oak Park neighborhoods, later graduating from Sacramento High School.[4][6] Vang’s family relied on food stamps, government safety net programs, the Salvation Army for resources.[7]
The only thing unusual about this is her openness about it. This is typical of the Democrat Party, its members, and its supporters.
