He was involved in the Gaza Flotilla effort to aid Hamas and was aboard the Mavi Marmara , when his Turkish terrorist buddies, instead of cooperating, ambushed the boarding party of Israelis and got themselves killed.

He was the guy who started the fight aboard the Mavi Marmara apparently, or one of those who did, grabbing a gun away from the boarding party. None of the other ships in the flotilla gave the boarding parties any trouble.

I saw an online video that examined that event. Based on the direction the missile came from, there was no way it was fired by the US. It was clearly a missile with no guidance system that was fired by Iran.
