Mexican Coke tastes different than American Coke; after all, it’s sweetened using cane sugar instead of high-fructose corn syrup. That, at least, was the conventional wisdom until 2011, when a paper published in the journal Obesity found that Mexican Coke contained no cane sugar. Instead, the authors found plenty of glucose and fructose, which are the main ingredients in high-fructose corn syrup.

I'm a Coke fiend, completely addicted. I bought one of the Mexican Cokes from an ice-filled cooler at a country store and drank it. It was good but not noticeably better than U.S. Coke, especially when it costs roughly 4 times as much. If I alternated sips between the two, I could probably taste the difference, but I just bought the one and drank it alone.
It’s still in its natural form, not a man made ingredient.
What health benefits have you observed since stopping?
I lost my craving for sweets, such as cookies, chocolate, etc.
