I am ‘firmly’ on the fence about it.
A. It does not look like this man is wearing a Mask, as I’ve seen him on the air before, and he looks the exact same way.
B. Would it really be so shocking that a former Navy SEAL may want to conceal his actual image (even in retirement), given all the things they are ordered to do, all over the world? I’m always surprised when I see former SEAL

It's real.
AI is reporting what the mainstream media is saying re optical illusion. I've seen that same gaping mask on the back of a 'Biden' stand-in, the edges curled up and the material rippled as if the side of his skull was muscular and flexing.
Classic example of a camera artifact. I swear no one remembers what used to be common knowledge. We live in a willful state of ignorance.
