Vanessa Trump, 48, announced she was recently diagnosed with breast cancer.

2014 I was diagnosed with it. The (then) new technology detected it very early. Had a single mastectomy, and took no drugs, radiation, etc. Oncologist said a lumpectomy would be enough, but I didn’t want to take chances.
I regret opting to not have reconstruction surgery, and regret not having both breasts removed. Oh, well; what’s done is done.
God Bless your honey, she can make it! I finished chemo in Dec for stage 4 breast cancer which metastised in my liver. Chemo is very barbaric but it worked so far, as of last scan there are no cancer markers. Now am on immunotherapy for a few more months and am getting back to feeling semi normal, whatever that is, teeheehee. God got me this far, he ain’t done yet!
I asked the doc when do I get to ring that ‘proverbial’ bell? LOL, she said in Sept, I warned her that it IS going to be a production, teeheehee.
Yea, she just had one done and no aftermarket rebuild kit. It’s a bit uncomfortable but I think she’s good with the decision.
They were confident they got everything but let’s do chemo pills just to CYA.
Nope. She’s working with a naturopathic oncologist and an integrative oncologist. A plethora of supplements and other treatments. The big one is very common in many parts of the world, but it can’t be patented so the US establishment isn’t interested. (side note: Johns Hopkins just did a study finding positive results) She injects herself with mistletoe extract. It creates inflammation which forces the body to create white blood cells which circulate through the bloodstream and kills any infections.
Prayers up...
“Nope.”
“Nope” what?
Breast cancer seems to be more prevalent than it used to be. Is it my imagination? Is there some hidden cause?
I’ve seen reports that 1 in 8 women will have a breast cancer diagnosis. Early detection is vital... our family just went thru this in 2025... all good now.
My daughter was diagnosed with breast cancer 3 months before her husband died of throat cancer. They lead an exceptionally healthy life. She is not stage four but has been tumor free for 9 months after finding tumors at 8 sites.
Glad you are starting to feel semi normal. Hopefully that means hair is coming back too.
A big day for my spousal unit was the other day when she went for a walk with her real hair exposed, not a wig nor her ‘do rag.
Chemo. Mastectomy. Radiation. Immuno. ICK!!
Her last immuno is June 4 so we too are looking for that bell to ring!
Best wishes for your continued recovery!!
I hope your wife is doing better and she’s getting better treatment.
The whole journey is something we have been learning on the fly. It has so often been full of $#@^%! surprises.
Yea, it’s kind of bizarre. They seem to expect that you know all of their medical terms and acronyms.
It seems that they think we all watch all the cool medical shows. (we watch none of them and didn’t really even know what kind of doctor to go to at the beginning.)
I don’t wish it on anyone but at the end of the day, God is good.
