Former first lady Michelle Obama was raising two young girls while living in the White House. And while she had her fair share of “traumatizing” moments during her husband’s presidency, one overseas trip really pushed her to her limit.(snip)
Michelle recalled the “messy conversations” she had with White House staffers after the “impossible” travel schedules became too much for her young daughters, Malia Obama and Sasha Obama — now 27 and 24, respectively — to handle.
The Obamas moved into the White House in 2009 with two young daughters — Malia, then 10, and Sasha, then 7. Michelle quickly realized that staffers were more focused on diplomatic schedules than on what worked for her kids.
During one overseas trip, the family was rushed through several countries in just a few days, with public appearances starting the moment they landed. After barely sleeping on a flight to Russia, her daughters were thrown in front of cameras at ceremonies and official events.
“They maybe slept for three hours on the plane with jet lag. And I had to go in and wake them up knowing that they hadn’t had sleep,” she recalled, adding that she asked herself, “Why are you here?”
The exhaustion eventually caught up to Malia, who turned to her mother and said, “I’ve never felt this bad in my whole life.”
“Honey, that’s jet lag,” Michelle told her.
Looking back, Michelle said the experience horrified her. Once they returned home, she confronted her husband, Barack Obama, and their team. “I was like, ‘This is crazy. This is ridiculous,'” she recalled.
From that point on, the rules changed. “After that trip, we told our team, ‘Don’t ever do that. Don’t plan a trip that if we land, the kids have to work right away,’” she said.

What kid would NOT be excited about traveling to Russia, or any faraway place, on Air Force One, with their Dad being President of the United States?
What kid - and what kind of Mother - would moan and bitch about it, as being "work"?
And the sycophantic author says the kids were "thrown" in front of cameras. Sure, as if Michelle with that chip on her shoulder would've just let her kids be "thrown" hither and yon.
Sounds like a good deal of history being re-written here.
"Horrifying" stuff, you know - being tired while being on what other kids would've found the adventure of a lifetime.
This explains a lot in terms of Mooch’s attitude, which she passed on to her kids.

She can whine about he no good husband, his donors/mob bosses, his creepy publicists and campaign sleezeballs all she wants but she can keep the ‘white house’, as in the title of this hit piece, out of it
There is not one thing in the president’s job description that includes his children
Not even the lowest or highest ranking military troop is required to include their kids n period
There IS the matter of Michelle’s tax payer funded trip with her daughters and her mother that involved a sweeping African countries and without Barack from which she emerged on the tarmac looking like trash in faded jeans, faded tank top and a RBF to send anyone into a giddy-hole.
If she’s referring to that I would like my tax money back

Barack, I feel sorry for you, but you deserve her, seeing as how your “All Police Are Bas***s” gave new life to jobless thugs with nothing but a Race Card and a bad attitude.
My heart bleeds. Plus they had to eat that crappy airplane food. Lobster, filet mignon, foie gras, tiramisu, etc.
Lack of sleep would ruin any trip for kids ages 10 and 7.

Will she EVER just STFU and go away? I am SO tired of her nonstop whining and complaining. She was bestowed one of the greatest honors and privileges the country has to offer to a very select few, but she is never gracious or thankful for experiencing it.

Seems that the girls turned out ok, all things considered.
