White House Deputy Chief of Staff James Blair is President Trump’s primary enforcer. He ensures that the Republicans on Capitol Hill follow orders and that the MAGA agenda is carried out.

“Sometimes you can vote your conscience, other times you have to vote with the boss,”

Don't know who this guy is but we've been patiently waiting for the next Lee Atwater for 30 years. Let's hope our wishes came true.

Wouldn’t it be nice if Lee was still around and could help with the Hakeem/Schumer knuckledraggers? He’d eat them for lunch.

Thought exactly the same thing - maybe this is Lee Atwater II.

Some of the best quotes ever.

About Dukakis: “I’m gonna strip the bark off the little bastard” and “make Willie Horton his running mate.”

(yes, he apologized to Dukakis, and his wife, Kitty, whom he accused of “burning American flags during anti-War protests” - as he (Lee) lay dying).

“Just keep stirring the pot, you never know what you’ll come up with!”

- Lee Atwater.

If so, the election season will be very entertaining...

Like it or not, the Democrats are effective because they vote as a block. They toe the party line. This allows the Democrats to accomplish things. A guy like Fetterman gets a lot of press because he is nearly the only exception to this rule.

Republicans, on the other hand, are proud of our independence and our principles. A guy like Massie always says he votes his principles. That means that Massie is sometimes not there when we need him. And there are many, many Republicans who do this. We have 51 senators. We need 51 votes? Oops! Sorry! Best I can do is 48!! You win nothing.

I think Republicans at every level should see Trump as a generational opportunity. He would get things done. Vote with the Boss. Let’s do something. Your precious principles may not be helping the country as much as you think.

Lee Atwater was a terrible man.

Absolutely without scruples.

A lot of people might think that's a good virtue to have in politics but all it really does is show how small one really is.

I hope he did make peace with God before he died. But I'm also of the mind that it too was just another dirty trick, that he might be remembered for some slight decency.

““Sometimes you can vote your conscience, other times you have to vote with the boss,””

That’s mafia talk. A US Representative has a ‘Boss”. It’s his constituents. Trump has turned into a traitor to MAGA. Go Massie!

Well spoken post, FRiend.

Trump has to play politics. Politics is not his driving passion as it was for the likes of Clinton, Obama, and the Biden Autopen crowd. But he has to play politics sometimes to get things done. That is his apparent passion: Getting things done.

That is just reality.

And with only 51 Senators, we can’t afford douchebags like Massie and Rand who like to play politics in their self-celebratory, masturbatory way. We don’t have that luxury.

If Trump can play politics, something he clearly finds distasteful, people like Massie and Rand can tear their mouths away from their precious principles to play a team game.

So far, they have not done that.

Lee sincerely apologized for all of that as he was facing his death of cancer.

“I am sorry for both statements: (Dukakis and the Willie Horton Ad) first for its naked cruelty, the second because it makes me sound racist, which I am not. Mostly, I am sorry for the way I thought of other people.”

““My illness helped me to see that what was missing in society is what was missing in me: a little heart, a lot of brotherhood. The ‘80s were about acquiring — acquiring wealth, power, prestige. I know. I acquired more wealth, power, and prestige than most. But you can acquire all you want and still feel empty. What power wouldn’t I trade for a little more time with my family? What price wouldn’t I pay for an evening with friends? It took a deadly illness to put me eye to eye with that truth, but it is a truth that the country, caught up in its ruthless ambitions and moral decay, can learn on my dime. I don’t know who will lead us through the ‘90s, but they must be made to speak to this spiritual vacuum at the heart of American society, this tumor of the soul....I was wrong to follow the meanness of Conservatism. I should have been trying to help people instead of taking advantage of them. I don’t hate anyone anymore. For the first time in my life I don’t hate somebody. I have nothing but good feelings toward people. I’ve found Jesus Christ – It’s that simple. He’s made a difference. (Reagan’s campaign manager “death-bed confession” in Feb. 1991 article for Life Magazine )”

Yeah right

Will the Republicans use Irina Zuruska or that horrible trucking accident or any other illegal who killed an America, Nope

Will the Republicans use the Dems sitting on their hands during the SOU when asked if they favored Americans over illegal immigrants? Nope

You will get the same Dole/McCain/Romney/Bush stay above the fray nice guy boring ads. Better to be a gracious loser than be called a racist by Chuck Schumer.

Good message for almost all Democrats. Atwater probably did some things he shouldn't have done. However, the Democrats have introduced and defended so much evil in this nation, I for one would go Genghis Khan on them in a heartbeat and have absolutely NO remorse for doing so until my dying day because THEY have NO remorse for what they have done and are still doing.

I have lived a LIFETIME of abuse from them for opposing my CORRECT conservative, Biblically-based views. If only I could work in some capacity with this administration to provide vocal, public, supported opposition to the evil types in the Democrat Party, starting with the likes of Ketanji Jackson Brown, Jasmine Crockett, AOC, Schumer, EVERY pro-sexual perversion type, the pro-illegal immigration bunch, the islamists and anyone else who wants to be a target.

It is NOT about political power (Atwater's mistake), it IS about absolutely cleaning this nation up in regard to values and what is right and wrong. I wholeheartedly agree with the Mongol idea of erasure of culture of an evil people. If you want to try to do what's right, come here, live here and carry on. If not, get out now and save your life.
