Delivery robots are the wave of the future and growing in popularity in cities like Philadelphia, but one thing our four-wheeled friends have yet to master is how to look both ways before crossing the street.
What we know:
Video shared by Storyful shows the food delivery robot entering a crosswalk against a stop signal when it's hit by an oncoming truck. The delivery robot briefly stops, flashing heart eyes as the truck completes its right hand turn, before continuing on with a bum wheel.
"Oh my god, he hit him! That’s so sad, he can’t move now," said Ashley Oteri, who recorded the fender bender. The machine keeps rolling ahead, encouraged by onlookers.

Of course nothing will ever happen to those robots when they venture into the hood.
I saw one of those while recently in Chicago. I turned to the guy next to me and said “What the **** is that!?” He had to explain to me. It looked like an R2 D2 unit on four wheels.
Did you grab the food?
They have them in my neighborhood. They even have names.
When my daughter went o Thee Ohio State University these things were all over the place delivering food...they stopped them for a while in 2022 after they found out the software came from Russia, but they eventually returned.....
Whenever i visited her on campus i would always screw with these things- standing in front of them, moving away, jumping back in front, watching them start then stop then start again and try to maneuver around me....
There was no time! By the time the man explained to me what the R2 unit was it had crossed the street and turned down the block. I had to explain to him that “we don’t have those where I live and I’d never seen anything like it before”.
The robot was clearly in the wrong. Did the robot’s owner pay for the damages to the truck?

I just watched the 1957 Japanese classic The Mysterians last night. First saw it at the theater, age 11.
The space aliens’ robot could send out beams to burn anyone who gets in the way. Hands off.
Images here are not in original “Toho Scope”, the Japanese rival to Cinemascope.
Plot is the aliens are dying out and have to abduct and mate with earth women after a takeover.
Isn’t that against the Laws of Robotics?
Did the Storm Troopers find any parts?
Just imagine if someone had a Halloween Storm Trooper getup nearby. They could have filmed finding the parts in real-time.
These are the ones that are benevolent precursors to T 1000 prototypes.
