Over the years, Joe Scarborough has often mounted his Morning Joe pulpit to proclaim on a variety of religious subjects from his Baptist upbringing. He was on "blasphemy" watch on Monday mocking a new statue of Donald Trump as a "blasphemous" Golden Calf on his Doral golf course in Miami.
"This is Old Testament stuff, I tell you. That kinda looks like, Moses comes down from the mountain with the tablets, and that's what's there."
Scarborough sarcastically surmised that the statue was "so blasphemous" that it had to be something out of South Park.
SCARBOROUGH: Was this a South Park stunt? Is this Matt Parker and Trey Stone behind this? Matt Parker and Trey Stone have to be behind something so blasphemous.
I’m sorry, is this not a South Park episode, where you have somebody that keeps pushing the town of South Park, and pushing the town of South Park, and they keep getting more and more blasphemous until they go, “Okay, let’s just do the Golden Calf statue.”

Absurd accusation. That’s obviously a Golden Pig.
So it was made without his approval?
Hey Joe, guess what else is mentioned in the Old Testament? Don’t murder...(allegedly).
Statues are not in and of themselves idols. They have to be made for idolatrous purposes in order to be so, or treated as such.
No one is worshiping this. Or the statues of Grant, Keys, Ghandi etc sitting around San Francisco. Gavin Newsom’s bust as well as many other mayors’ busts are at City Hall. They aren’t idols for Pete’s sake.
I find it hard to believe that anything is ‘blasphemous’ to Joe. He just likes using words and references he thinks are impressive.
Joe has back-slid all the way off our flat planet.

I’m sure that Joe has no problem with the statues of Obama and George Foyd that have been erected? Does he also object to the Lincoln Monument?
I don’t think anyone is worshipping the Trump statue.
Poor Joe, jealousy of Trump lives in his head rent free 24/7.
