Saturday Night Live’s cold open pulled in Matt Damon and saw President Donald Trump’s allies sharing some drinks and drowning their sorrows.
Damon revived a performance for SNL this weekend and a biting cold open took aim at three men whose alcohol use and alleged abuse has made headlines: Supreme Court Justice Brett Kananaugh, FBI Director Kash Patel, and Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth.
“Hey, can I just say we are both kicking ***, right now,” Damon’s Kavanaugh told Colin Jost’s Hegseth while sitting at a bar.
“Dude, can you believe I just started a war?” Jost’s Hegseth said.
Damon’s Kavanaugh then said he “ended” abortion, referring to the Supreme Court overturning Roe v. Wade in 2022, determining individual states determine the legality of abortion.
Damon made digs about Kavanaugh drinking during his impression, pulling up a map of Tennessee and joking about new congressional lines. Tennessee is one of multiple states to implement new congressional lines that have inspired Democratic protests.

Let SNL in a “bipartisan” fashion do a bit mocking the Barrack-Michelle Obama marriage. Or the loveless Billary, Inc. marriage. That will never happen.
They forgot to include Senators Teddy Kennedy (D-MA) and Chris Dodd (D-CT) with a skit about “Waitress Sandwiches.” Yes, drunks Kennedy and Dodd were known for assaulting DC restaurant waitress by ganging up on them and “sandwiching” them with their fat torsos. FACT.

I was on the fence about watching his new movie Odysseus but now I will definitely skip it. I’m also disgusted with the blackwashing in the movie done by replacing Helen of Troy, who is European, with a black woman.
If I wanted to hear about SNL I’d watch SNL, I really don’t need a newsreport telling me what happened on a sketch show.

It’s been reported that the trailer for the movie has gotten the lowest score for any Nolan movie.
It’s filled with CGI and dark lighting. It’s also rumored that the beautiful Ellen Page, who mutilated herself into an unhealthy looking man called Eliot Page, has been cast as the
ghost of Achilles.
A hard pass which includes even when it goes to streaming.
Not a shred of originality. Living on a decades old carcass...ghoulish.
Christopher Nolan is known for making decent movies. So I’m not sure what’s up with that?
