・Bloomberg reported on Friday that Moderna’s hantavirus research is “early-stage and ongoing” and began well before the cruise-ship cluster was identified.
・No hantavirus vaccine is currently approved anywhere in the world, and human clinical trials for Moderna’s candidates have not yet begun.
・Moderna’s vaccine sales have undergone a dramatic post-pandemic decline.
Shares of Moderna Inc. (MRNA) closed 12% higher on Friday, clocking its best day in over two months, after the company confirmed it has been pursuing early-stage research into mRNA-based vaccines against hantaviruses.
Moderna’s ongoing hantavirus efforts, reported by Bloomberg, coincide with heightened public attention on a rare outbreak linked to the Dutch-flagged MV Hondius. According to the World Health Organization’s Disease Outbreak News report issued earlier this week, seven cases — two laboratory-confirmed hantavirus infections and five suspected — have been identified among passengers and crew.
Three people have died, one remains critically ill, and others have reported fever, gastrointestinal symptoms, and rapid progression to pneumonia. Illness onsets occurred between early April and late April 2026 during the ship’s voyage from Ushuaia, Argentina, through Antarctic waters and across the South Atlantic; the vessel is now anchored off Cape Verde.

Argentina had withdrawn from the WHO two weeks before, following the U.S. withdrawal in January. President Donald Trump said he was pulling out because he believed the agency had mishandled the Covid-19 pandemic, among other issues.
WHO officials said Thursday that it’s nonetheless working with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention in responding to the outbreak. WHO Director-General Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus said he hoped Argentina and the U.S. would “see how important universality is for health security.”

It would make the mRNA formulating much easier and quicker.
What is eminently probably, totally ignored and propagandized against is the likelihood that high dose intravenous Vitamin C with oral zinc the Virus killer on the side could probably help save a lot of lives of people with Hanta Virus, and especially those hemorrhagic fever illnesses like Ebola. Dr. Robert Cathcart has treated more than 10k people that way using as much as 100 grams IV a day, and even as high as 200 grams. Burning urine, acid farts, and diarrhea are signs that too much is being given.
Once when volunteering at the MASH tent at a large wilderness campout, a woman was suffocating from effects of being bitten in the neck by 3 yellow jackets. She follishly forgot to bring her bee allergy kit with her. Her eyes were also swollen shut, and her body was puffy all over. I crushed 10 1 gram C tablets mixed with a large glass of water. She drank it all and in 20 minutes her eyes were open, she was breathing normally, and the body swelling was going down. Over the next 8 hours I gave her 5 grams an hour tell she told me to go home and leave her with the bottle. the next day she and friends walked out the 3 miles to their car. She never had any overdose symptoms with more than 50 grams in 9 hours, so I hope some smart guys will try this cure when they are desperate.
Unless you live in a home riddled with mice or rats and their feces you have little to no chance of ever contracting this disease. This from someone who gutted and renovated a 1970s mobile home and gutted it in a clean room suit.

Big Pharma’s revenue stream must be down by a lot. Releasing a new bug that only they have a cure for is a good way to boost the bottom line.
They have the bug - they have the ‘cure’. The only remaining problem they have is finding a new ‘Fauci’ in the current administration to run point on the hysteria required to motivate consumers.
Kind of makes one wonder how the hantavirus got on that cruise ship - don’t it....
