which races are important to watch!?
Vivek has it wrapped up on the (R) side, although I may vote for Casey Putsch (r).
Regardless no (d) ever.
You people are missing something that I always seem to have to point out. The real races are the 10 or so Indiana REPUBLICAN state senators who voted AGAINST redistricting-forgot the exact number. I’m looking forward to watching Fox news at 8pm PST-right after Gutfeld and his poop jokes show is over. Hopefully we’ll get some positive news in that hour as The Five comes on again at 9-repeat.
“...right after Gutfeld and his poop jokes show is over...”
Poop jokes, or homosexual jokes, or homosexual poop jokes.
Ok so Vivek has it wrapped up and the next 6 months will be focused on him in Ohio. What he really should do is commit himself to running the state for a minimum 6 years. T/hen challenge every wannabe POTUS on the other side debate on the issues of capitalism. Do it for the country. You can be pretty sure these debates will get national attention. When October comes around do 3 debates with his rat opponent.
Let the MSM charge him with higher ambitions while he’s slaying the dragons on the left. Let Vivek scare them into thinking he’s their biggest threat.
I’ve always thought up to now it’s JD’s job to swat them down but he’s busy. Vivek has a chance to show he’s legit on a state(major) and national level. 5-6 months would do it.
10 senators.
Republican Indiana State Senators Who Voted Against Redistricting in 2026
In 2026, ten Republican state senators in Indiana voted against the proposed redistricting. Here are their names and some details:
Senator Name District Years in Senate Reelection Status
Eric Bassler 39 Since 2014 Announced he won’t seek reelection
Jim Buck 21 Since 2008 Seeking reelection
Spencer Deery 23 Since 2022 Up for reelection
Dan Dernulc 1 Since 2022 Up for reelection
Greg Goode 38 Since 2023 Up for reelection
Travis Holdman 19 Since 2008 Up for reelection
Rick Niemeyer 6 Since 2014 Not officially announced reelection plans
Cyndi Carrasco 30 Since 2020 Up for reelection
Linda Rogers 5 Since 2014 Up for reelection
James Buck 21 Since 2008 Seeking reelection
Good job!
Niemeyer is definitely running. And he needs to lose (he also needs a punch in the mouth, and not just because of that one vote).
Dernulc is in a complete tossup district (R+1) and he has 2 primary opponents to split the anti-Dernulc vote. Wonderful.
Same applies to Greg Goode, except his district isn’t quite as marginal (R+6).
Not sure what Carrasco is doing on the list since she has not been there since 2020, is not up for re-election, and did not vote against redistricting.
Perhaps you meant Kyle Walker (not running again in District 31). Another one which could flip in November.
You left off Greg Walker (SD-41).
My district senator is my former county sheriff. He was term limited but did a great job as Sheriff. I wish we had more of him! He voted for the redistricting.
I just took a list off the internet. I didn’t compile it myself. There probably ARE mistakes.
