No, the U.S. Supreme Court (SCOTUS) has not categorically barred life without parole (LWOP) sentences.
He deserves an Academy Award for that performance. He was acting from the beginning.
Too bad the SC ruled that an offense committed by a minor cannot carry the death sentence.
Must have been non black judge. Or at least not a raving, pierced over-educated foreign female liberal.

This is a deleted post, because while I think it was very FUNNY and on point, It may have been a little over the top.
Any attempt to punish a criminal is vengeance and we are suppose to not do that.
And so each and every crime must be forgiven immediately. Especially murder. Does not matter if they run over an guy in the cross walk or smother a newborn. Everything is forgiven at once. Or YOU are the bad person.
Oh and they have no idea why civilization is collapsing with all the forgiveness they are doling out. Except to the people who actually want criminals brought to justice. No forgiveness or understanding for them of course.
I guess we should be happy that one out of ten gets punished appropriately.
