Five or so mins after he was seated shots range out: POP POP POP POP. Sounds like five to me where I’m sitting.

Everyone immediately hit the floor.

Secret Service immediately took POTUS out and a search of the room began.

I cannot imagine that security protocols would allow the President to return to that location. Especially if there is a dead assassin in the lobby.

They have not mentioned that to anybody still in the room.

My bet is that the event is cancelled.

Sounds more like he tipped his hand and got mag dumped upon in quick order.. Interestingly, although I heard the shot reports on the live feed, the Prez and those around him did not flinch or look up, until the SScame and ushered him pout expeditiously.

I wonder if the camara and mikes are much closer to the lobby then the prez.
