President Donald Trump confirmed that the U.S. has no plans to extend its ceasefire with Iran on Monday.
Trump made the statement during an interview with PBS News after he was asked what will happen if the deadline is reached Tuesday evening without a peace deal.
"Then lots of bombs start going off," Trump said.
On the status of peace talks in Pakistan, Trump said simply, "I don't know."
"I mean, they're supposed to be there. We agreed to be there, although they say we didn't. But no, it was set up. And we'll see whether or not it's there. If they're not there, that's fine too," he said.

And past Tuesday when nothing happens, executions will continue.
Shared frustration.
‘Negotiate’ with HE.
Stop announcing it, and just do it.

Normally I would agree.
You don’t want to telegraph your plans, even to an inferior adversary.
But I think this is one of the exceptions. Trump wants to push them back to the negotiating table with threats, and recent history would suggest that these are threats with teeth.
Let’s just stretch this all the way out to the midterms…………..why not?
Good summary. Lots of moving parts -
China is getting boxed in and POTUS has cut off all of their life-lines.
I’m worried China will move on Taiwan out of desperation - and we depend on those chips more than they depend on oil. It’s a scary prospect.
But I trust President Trump has this all figured out with Taiwan in mind. I.e., force them into a confrontation now when they are weak - rather than wait until it’s too late.
In the 1966 film The Good, the Bad and the Ugly, Tuco is nicknamed “The Ugly”.
Yeah, of course. I didn’t know there even was another Tuco.
Forty-seven years.
Eight Presidents.
About time.
Same here. I'm not saying things are serious, but its been a long time since the literal fear of God has been put into people. This situation brings to mind Iran like the guy in the bar who makes a big show of "hold me back" while his friends (Europe and weasels in the US) play along, just before the guy he pucked the fight with puts his teeth back through his spine.
Yes it is
Sun Tzu said emphatically that you should always leave your enemy an off ramp. As far as the rhetoric that Trump uses that offends so many Democrats, he is speaking to the Iranians in their level of understanding so that they cannot make a mistake because of a misunderstanding. I believe that within a week it will be resolved, especially if we can shut the traitors up in the US, like Chris Murphy, Hair Boy, Timmy Walz, etc. That is who the Iranians listen to.
Power plants and Bridges! Fun Fun Fun.
Well...is it Tuesday in Iran yet?
The nuclear option is the only way to make that happen. Conventional bombing back to the stone ages is where they are now. That doesn’t bother them. Total annihilation would end the IRGC and a lot of Muslim scum but you either go all the way or we’ll be back there in another 20 years. Thankfully either way I’ll be dead.
8pm East coast 5PM west coast. Get ready to RUMBLE!!!!!!
8pm East coast 5PM west coast. Get ready to RUMBLE!!!!!!
8pm EST is when time is officially up....iran will pull some kind of bullshit right before that.
We ran out of weapons. A couple weeks makes a huge diff.
“We ran out of weapons”
First I heard of that.
You got a way to confirm it?
