President Donald Trump confirmed that the U.S. has no plans to extend its ceasefire with Iran on Monday.
Trump made the statement during an interview with PBS News after he was asked what will happen if the deadline is reached Tuesday evening without a peace deal.
"Then lots of bombs start going off," Trump said.
On the status of peace talks in Pakistan, Trump said simply, "I don't know."
"I mean, they're supposed to be there. We agreed to be there, although they say we didn't. But no, it was set up. And we'll see whether or not it's there. If they're not there, that's fine too," he said.

My impatience with the President on this has evolved into a strong suspicion that he wants to exhaust every diplomatic angle possible, even if he knows full well Iran never plans to cooperate on any level.....because once he does pull the trigger iran will never be the same again.....and I think that really is the only way to rid the world of these blood thirsty bullies once and for all.

I want to believe the president on this condition, but I do not. He has made threats like this before, breathtaking threats “A whole civilization will DIE tonight!” if Iran does not make a deal. (April 7th, 2026).
And, here we are today. I’m glad we are still negotiating with Iran, b/c, like most of us here, I dont want our American youth to end up on the ground in the Middle East if there is any other way to destroy Hezbollah.
The Persians seem unwilling or unable to take matters into their own hands.
Too bad. Would have been better for them.
In any case, if the leadership insists on behaving like 6th century savages, we can help them recreate the milieu.

He has made it a point from the beginning he wants to make Iran a prosperous country not driven by terrorist groups. He won’t be able to do that if he wipes out the infrastructure and takes out resources important to the rebuilding. Because we are a God fearing country, well a lot of it is, we need to be honest and superior to our enemies and give them a chance to conform. They most likely won’t, but we did it right.

The closure of the Straight of Hormuz has exposed the stupidly of the green Eurotrash as fuel supplies skyrocket and their economies shut down. They don’t have enough energy due to their insane, stupid policies so watching them fail about an incoherent rage is very satisfying. This war also is savaging China’s economy and it will make them think twice about ever challenging the United States. Because Trump forced America to be energy independent he can now make these geopolitical moves while the entire globalist world has their pants down.
