“Train leaving on Track 5 for Anaheim, Azusa and Cuuuuucamonga.”

Bugs Bunny made cracks about Cucamonga (and Foghorn Leghorn lived there)
I could see myself doing that, just for the limitless joy of telling
My grandchildren over and over again about “The Time I Stole An Electric Bicycle In Rancho Cucamonga”.
It’s got a real storytellers ring to it. I can just hear Andy Devine telling it…
Hate to say it, but the driver of the car is either going to charged, or will lose a lot of money in a civil case from the likely paralyzed thief. Really dumb idea to publish video of yourself stating you are going to knock someone off a bike.
It was easier and quicker to use a quick release seat post clamp.
I bought a first generation aventon Aventure several years ago. Very well made, I’ve had zero issues. Also, aventon used legitimate, high quality cells in their batteries. I still get excellent range out of the original battery.
At my age and the condition of my knees, there is no way I could pedal up the hills around me if I didn’t have electric assist.
Looks like the thief may have gotten his just reward. No reason to prosecute the owner, but this IS California.
They are starting to get popular here. All the kids have them.
Or Burl Ives.
Don’t forget the Jan and Dean song, “The Anaheim, Azusa & Cucamonga Sewing Circle, Book Review and Timing Association”.
I think "Cucamonga" was also one of Jack Benny's running gags.
My grandfather used to work with this guy who was deathly afraid of bugs. So of course my grandfather would play all kinds of gags to torment him. Sometimes he would mail him fake bugs in the mail, and he always put "Cucamonga" as the return address.
That’s going to leave a mark.
Awesome faceplant.. hopefully he is dead.
Yes indeed, the Anaheim, Azusa & Cucamonga Railroad. There's also The Battle of Cucamonga by Homer & Jethro (1959)
Cucamonga before 1980 was a wide spot in the road on Foothill Blvd., aka Route 66. In 1976 it became part of the city of Rancho Cucamonga, which comprised Cucamonga, Etiwanda and Alta Loma. My grandfather lived in Etiwanda, a tiny community surrounded by orange and lemon orchards. To the south, vineyards stretched across the valley for miles and miles. These are all gone, and the place is now a big city.
