One person has been killed and multiple people injured during a mass shooting at a New Jersey Chick-fil-A.
The horror unfolded at the restaurant in Union Township on Saturday night, sending terrified patrons scrambling and the business into lockdown.
At least six people were shot after gunfire erupted at around 8.40pm inside the crowded establishment, according to RLS Media.
A local living a block away told the Daily Mail that they could hear 'a ruckus' as well as sirens blaring hours after the shooting ended.
The father of a Chick-fil-A worker said his son told him multiple armed suspects in masks burst into the fast food chain.
The anonymous father described the busy eatery as a 'warzone' and said several of his son's co-workers had been injured.
Another man whose girlfriend works at the restaurant told CBS that the group of suspects barged in and went directly behind the counter, firing multiple shots.
A Lyft driver told ABC that he was finishing a drop-off near the Chick-fil-A when he heard more than seven shots fired.
'I finished my trip over there, in the return zone. I heard the shots. When I finished the trip, I go to Chick-fil-A to buy two burgers - I see the police, I heard the shots very close,' he said.
The Chick-fil-A is located at 2139 US 22 in Union, New Jersey. The town is located just over 15 miles outside of New York City.

The guy who said he went there to get hamburgers has a thick accent. To my ear, it sounded French. The demographics in Union recently changed to include a large number of immigrants from Haiti, mostly Christian, with French as their first language. Paterson, NJ has the second highest Muslim population per capita in the US, with at least five mosques, and they’re about a 15-20 minute drive from this Chick-Fil-A. The shooters are reported to have arrived wearing masks, immediately went behind the counter and started shooting. I’m going to jump to conclusions and assume all those facts are relevant to this shooting, and add up to a targeted attack on Christians by Muslims.
And I know, do not ass_u_me, but I’m doing it. And my bingo card says two Moes and an Ahmed. Prove me wrong.
I have worked at Chick-fil-A for many years. I have found it people who are Indian refer to chicken sandwiches as burgers. It’s a cultural/language thing.

Most probably spill over from Newark, or Irvington and Hillside. Union Township as recently as the 1980s was a nice little typical New Jersey town. It is terrible today, unrecognizable from when I was a kid.

Due to the incredible number of restrictions on the NJ carry permit that probably would have been legally useless here.
A quick internet search shows other Chick-fil-a locations have had shootings, just like any fast food restaurant in a Democrat dump.
That stretch of Route 22 is a continuous string of retail stores and fast food places that collectively make up a perfect example of Chris Rock’s legendary “shopping mall where white people used to go.” I wouldn’t patronize any business establishment east of Mountainside along Route 22.
