Alleged arsonist who 'filmed himself setting FIRE to warehouse full of people' causing $500m in damage says he was inspired by Luigi Mangione

An alleged California arsonist who filmed himself setting a warehouse full of people on fire compared himself to Luigi Mangione after starting the blaze, according to court documents.

Chamel Abdulkarim, 29, allegedly posted a first-person video on Instagram on April 7 igniting multiple pallets at the Kimberly-Clark warehouse in Ontario, per a criminal complaint filed Thursday in the US District Court for the Central District of California viewed by the Daily Mail.

'If you're not going to pay us enough to ******* live or afford to live, at least pay us enough not to do this ****,' Abdulkarim said, according to the complaint.

The footage then allegedly showed his hand holding a lighter as he added, 'Should have paid us enough to ******* live.'

'You know, we may not get paid enough to ******* live,' Abdulkarim said, per the legal filing. 'But these ******* dirt cheap.'

He also said that the '1% is a ******* joke' and claimed that he 'didn't see the share holders picking up a shift,' the complaint added.

During a call with an unidentified witness, Abdulkarim allegedly said his motivation for starting the fire was ******* eight hours, six days … stuck paying rent on a bulls*** *** apartment that I can't afford to ******* live.'

He added that 'a lot of people are going to understand' and compared his actions to when 'Luigi popped that muther****** [sic],' referring to the killing of UnitedHealthcare CEO Brian Thompson in December 2024.

I’m driving so I don’t have the opportunity to look up the nationality of his name. Could someone please do that? Because that is a real doozy.

Facilities lost. Product lost. Jobs lost. Shove a pike up his backside and plant him onsite near the main entrance as you rebuild. Let the buzzards have him.

So it’s ‘the man’s’ fault you aren’t achieving what you believe your worth...this loser attitude has caused more sh*t than prune juice.

The man's a criminal, granted, but let's also take a look at the operators of a warehouse filled with flammable material who don't have a sufficient sprinkler system to put out a fire.

Let's also take a look at the owners who leased them the property, knowing what was in it and that it didn't have a sufficient fire suppression system.

Arabic for "slave" of "the most generous, bountiful, and esteemed." Kind of, sort of.

Abdulkarim is a masculine name of Arabic origin, meaning “servant of the Most Generous One” or “servant of Allah”.

Etymology: The name is composed of two Arabic elements: ‘Abd (meaning slave, servant, or worshipper) and Al-Karim (meaning the generous, the noble, or the bountiful).

I’m sure they will investigate why it burned so much. To be honest I’m not sure in the case of arson it’s possible to put in 100% sufficient systems that can always prevent such a catastrophic fire. It says in another article that an active sprinkler system was in place. I’d be surprised if it wasn’t to code, especially in California, for such a large facility. We should probably wait until this is investigated before we throw around such accusations.

The building is about 2-3 miles from my house. It is newish Tilt-Up concrete construction that I’m sure was built to code, but what code as far as what type occupancy??. It was not owned by Kimberly Clark. (NFI Industries owned it)

Google search...."Abdulkarim" A traditional Muslim name representing devotion and the virtue of generosity.

According to this jailbird Kimberly Clark wasn't generous enough in their pay.

Wut???

If the facility had a sufficient fire supression system, he would have done minimal damage.

Instead, he's caused $500 million of damages just in the products and the building, not counting lost sales, lost wages of other employees, etc.

As for being an a-hole jerk or bleeding hear SOB, shame on me for calling out that especially in 2026, a building owner and/or operator should have sufficient strategies in place to counter the actions of an individual with a lighter.

Please, please, please, for the love of all that's good, let's promote being smarter than the third-world turds that globalists are invading our country with. This wasn't just a third worlder lighting the building on fire, it was a third world mentality that didn't have the building protected.

The Triangle Shirtwaist Factory fire was in 1911 and led to the creation of safety councils and protocols, including fires in the workplace. Let's not accept regression and indifference to human life 115 years later.

IF HE REALLY WAS WORKING 6 DAYS/8 HOURS-—HE WAS GETTING 40 HOURS STRAIGHT TIME & 8 HOURS TIME & A HALF.

IF GETTING $15 AN HOUR== $600 STRAIGHT TIME & $22.50 X 8 == $180== $780 A WEEK==ABOUT $3380 a MONTH .

SEEMS LIKE VERY DECENT PAY FOR SOMEONE FROM ANOTHER COUNTRY WHO MOST LIKELY BARELY HAS ANY BASIC SKILLS.

IF A”FAMILY” HERE-—HOW MUCH “ASSISTANCE” ARE THEY GETTING???

ANOTHER REASON TO ONLY HIRE AMERICAN.

IS HE PROFICIENT IN ENGLISH???
