Staffers for Eric Swalwell — a Democratic favorite in the California governor’s race — are reportedly fleeing as a disturbing claims emerged he sexually assaulted a young former staffer.
At least four people have “abruptly” quit the East Bay congressman’s flailing campaign as a disturbing claim emerged that he sexually assaulted a young female staffer in 2019, including when she was too intoxicated to consent, Politico reported.
That includes Courtni Pugh, a top advisor in charge of Swalwell’s organized labor strategy, and multiple other staffers.
The campaign departures come alongside a troubling report in the San Francisco Chronicle alleging that the East Bay rep had nonconsensual sexual contact with a former staffer who worked for roughly two years at Swalwell’s district office in Castro Valley starting in 2019, when she was 21 years old.
Swalwell, who was 38 at the time, sent her explicit Snapchat messages that included snaps of his genitals and “a video of himself sitting on an airplane, rubbing his penis through his pants,” according to the Chronicle.
The unnamed woman alleged that in September 2019, she went for drinks with Swalwell and become heavily intoxicated, remembering nothing for the rest of the evening but waking up the next morning in Swalwell’s hotel room with the feeling that she’d had vaginal intercourse.

No due process on the left. Swalwell is guilty of the ultimate crime - endangering the party. If Swalwell were to be on of the two candidates to advance from the California jungle primary election, and the other candidate is a Republican, California might, probably not, but might, elect a Republican, were these allegations to come out before the General Election.
He should have stuck to elections the Republicans have zero chance of winning. None of the allegations would ever have seen the light of day.
Couldn’t happen to a nicer guy. I’m guessing billionaire opponent Tom Steyer’s campaign unleashed their opposition research.
Instead, someone fluffed him into thinking he was destined for better things. Having said that, there are a lot of stupid people in California, and he could survive this.
Good Question but in the present inquisitional environment who knows what goes civil suits seem anything goes at least.
That’s why Trump’s campaign did NOT fall apart. Because the accusations do not sound credible. In Swallowswell’s case, the accusations DO sound credible.
This complete and utter moron thought he was going to be president some day. I kid you not.
When it comes to sex I am convinced that mistakes are made by all people in either thought, word or deed.
But getting people especially younger ones down from their perches of godlike status afforded by self-esteem boosting seems difficult.

I heard today that Adam Schiff, who is somehow a Senator now, DID call for him to resign his seat in the house. If that's true then it's only a matter of time. The walls are closing in on Mr. Sharts his pants on TV.
Joe (not Hunter) Biden did the same thing to a staffer (alleged by that former staffer) and not one Democrat gave a fat rat’s patoot about it.
Not one Democrat gave a rat’s patoot about Swallowswell banging a ChiCom spy either. Mightn’t that be a bigger deal for someone sitting on the Intelligence Committee than generic sexual misconduct?

The Democrats have no problem with secual assault. They just don’t like it when they’re caught.
He was using Snapchat, if the photos aren’t saved by the recipient at the time they are received then they are automatically erased by the Snapchat servers. She probably didn’t save them unless she was wise enough to know that at the time. So, probably no longer any photo evidence at this point.
Oh, you know danged well he would be running for POTUS in the future.

True but this is how democrats roll. They usually reserve these tactics for Republicans but in this case they are desperately trying to remove excess candidates otherwise we may end up with 2 Republicans running for Governor.

I remember this guy from when he was screwing a Chinese spy and was in some national security role in Congress.

Ever notice, when Democrats screw interns, assault staffers, have sex with under age girls, or screw Chinese spies, it’s no big deal according to our MSM.
Forgotten and forgiven-
Due Process- yes, he is entitled to it.
But part of me can’t help remembering the due process he gave Trump while declaring that he (Swallwell) had evidence of Russian collusion. Said evidence never materializing.
