Americans would be ‘up at night worrying’ if they knew the truth about alien life, Tennessee Rep. Tim Burchett says
New York Post ^ | 4-3-26 | Richard Pollina

Burchett — a member of the House Task Force on the Declassification of Federal Secrets — recalled that he was briefed two weeks ago “on an issue” about extraterrestrial life that “would have set the Earth” on fire and “unglued” the country if released.

When Finnerty played a clip of former Rep. Matt Gaetz alleging knowledge of alien-human hybrid breeding programs, Burchett stopped short of directly addressing the explosive claims. “I’m still a member of Congress, so I can’t really comment too much on what Matt said,” Burchett told Finnerty.

“Wait, seriously?” Finnerty slightly pushed back.

“I’m being 100% serious,” Burchett replied.

They put the aliens in bikinis and cast them in beer commercials. That’s why they are widely accepted members of society.

“I’ve been briefed"

Which means he hasn't seen any evidence; he's just repeating what others have told him. 'A friend of a friend' tall tale.

As I have posted here before, since it's Republicans who are repeating these stories, I suspect someone is feeding them this information to make them look like fools.

Yawn. There aren’t any extraterrestrial aliens visiting from another solar system for the same reason we can’t visit other solar systems. You can’t get there from here and they (if they exist) can’t get here from there. They’re too far away. Nearest star is something like 30 trillion miles away. The Saturn probe took 7 years to get to a planet one billion miles away. The nearest star is 30,000 times that far so 7 years times 30,000 = 210,000 year journey. And that’s just the closest star. We can look, but we can’t touch.

If aliens could teach Earth they would need to harness the power of their parent star and somehow overcome the issues with near light speed travel. The energy requirements render it impossible.

You’re assuming any other intelligent life is only as smart as us...

So there can’t be an intelligent life form anywhere in the universe who may have figured out space travel using worm holes and/or different forms of dimensions and that speeds much faster than light exist which we have stated is theoretically possible.

But.. no one is smarter than humans so it’s not possible.

Got it.

A large percentage of the public has been raised on a steady diet of sci-fi which has caused them to hold many irrational beliefs. With the decline of organized religion in this country and abroad a vacuum has been created by most peoples’ desire to understand the roots of their existence. This creates an opportunity for politicians who hope to exploit this chasm between reality and widely held belief systems.

Rep. Tim Burchett please save us!
