President Donald Trump has reportedly already fired Attorney General Pam Bondi, according to two sources familiar with the matter who spoke with Fox News Digital.

Bondi met with Trump in the Oval Office on Wednesday night ahead of his speech to the nation on the war in Iran where was reportedly informed of her ouster, according to two sources familiar with the meeting.

One of those sources said that by the time Trump took his place behind the podium for the address, Bondi had already lost her job and was on her way back to Florida.

Trump is reportedly considering replacing Bondi with Environmental Protection Agency Director Lee Zelin, according to the sources familiar with the matter. Trump held a meeting with Zeldin at the White House Tuesday to discuss wildfire and prevention, where talks of the transition also unfolded, according to an individual familiar with the meeting.

That source relayed to Fox News Digital that Zeldin would be a plausible replacement, adding that Trump could change his mind at any point.

I will be happy when it is confirmed to be true. Still people denying it on the other thread.

Nick Shirley and plenty of others have done great investigating work. MN fraud, CA fraud, election problems in GA. There seems to be a lot of evidence of a lot of crimes. But DOJ always has better things to do.

When the Democrats get control, you know they will arrest dozens of people on Day One. And they will start investigating on Day Two. Republicans, on the other hand, will investigate for 10 years and then decide to do nothing.

I would really like to see someone arrested. For something.

Torn on how to fill the spot.

On one hand? AG is an administrative/cabinet position. It’s not like the role involves the AG actually litigating cases.

Zeldin *has* - quietly, without fanfare - done a really nice job at the EPA. Lots of reg and red tape cutting.

He does have a JD - but I don’t think he’s ever practiced law. I’m not saying that’s a disqualifier.

Honestly, my concern? I think too many people nowadays want flash and memes and loud, truculent happy talk — and have completely unrealistic expectations. Charge everyone! Convict everyone! Lawfare uber alles! That’s just not realistic.

Bondi tried to go that route - and it has been a disaster. People like to complain about Potato Joe and Garland’s lawfare - but the fact is, the *federal* courts actually throttled it more often than not, too.

My fear is that whomever is the pick? People will just have unrealistic expectations.

He has a poor track record in choosing Attorney Generals and we’ve all suffered the consequences but most certainly, Trump has been the biggest victim.

You need indictments first. So far several Grand Juries have returned No Bills.
