Video of ‘Frozen’ Olaf Robot Collapsing at Disneyland Paris Goes Viral

Mon Dieu! A free-ranging robotic Olaf, the lovable snowman character from Walt Disney Animation Studios’ “Frozen” movie franchise, evidently suffered a… brain freeze this week.

In a video that has gone viral, the Olaf robot at Disneyland Paris is seen speaking to parkgoers before it freezes up — in midsentence — and then collapses backward, with its detachable carrot nose bouncing onto the ground. Two park employees quickly arrive to scoop up the malfunctioning animatronic device and carry it away.

The video, shared by Belgian Disney fan site Magic Tour Club, has been viewed more than 4.6 million times on TikTok alone since it was uploaded Monday. (Watch the clip below.)

“Olaf just melted… literally 😭☀️,” the caption on the TikTok video says. “We didn’t expect THIS to happen at Disneyland Paris. Someone get this snowman an ice bath ASAP 🧊💀”

Variety has reached out to the Disney Experiences PR team for comment or additional information.

The World of Frozen, along with the roaming Olaf robot, officially debuted at Disneyland Paris on Sunday.

Disney provided a first look of the Olaf robot at Disneyland Paris in November 2025. The robot can articulate its mouth, eyes, carrot nose and arms, and is also able to speak and engage in conversations, the company said. “From the way he moves to the way he looks, every gesture and detail is crafted to reflect the Olaf audiences have seen in the film — alive, curious and unmistakably himself,” the company said at the time. Per Disney, the Olaf robot’s snow-like shimmer “that catches the light just like fresh snow” was enhanced by iridescent fibers.

The company said Disney Imagineering collaborated closely with the film’s original animators at Walt Disney Animation Studios to “ensure every gesture” of Olaf felt true to the character.

Even French robots bow down and surrender. Must be the culture.

Remember this when they tell you airplanes don’t need pilots and cars don’t need drivers.

I am kind of surprised that anyone was there to see it.

The price of a day at Disney has gotten so high I can’t imagine anyone can afford to go.

My wife took the grandchildren last year it was ridiculously expensive.

There are millions of Disney addicts that are happy to go into debt to get their fix. The reason that Iger and the major shareholders don’t care how much their social engineering anti family pro pervert movies lose is because of all the morons that happily pay for overpriced parking, gate, food and crappy souvenirs while grinning like the idiots they are bring in so much revenue it makes the movie losses insignificant.

I’m sorry you had to see that.

He was out of control.

I’m a Blade Runner.

I “retired” him.
