“Brothers and sisters, this is our God: Jesus, King of Peace, who rejects war, whom no one can use to justify war,” the first American pope, citing a Bible passage, told congregants in St. Peter’s Square, according to The Associated Press.
“He does not listen to the prayers of those who wage war, but rejects them,” he added.

The Church seems hopelessly political now and oriented toward progressivism.
I stopped going to my Catholic Church. Go to a Gospel church now.

Ecclesiastes 3:8. The Pope needs to try and get his hands on a
Bible or a copy of “Turn Turn Turn” by the Byrds.

General Patton's prayer distributed among 3'rd Army at the Battle of the Bulge: "Almighty and most merciful Father, we humbly beseech Thee, of Thy great goodness, to restrain these immoderate rains with which we have had to contend. Grant us fair weather for Battle. Graciously hearken to us as soldiers who call upon Thee that, armed with Thy power, we may advance from victory to victory, and crush the oppression and wickedness of our enemies and establish Thy justice among men and nations. Amen." Friends of the National World War II Memorial

As if the pope has any idea what prayers God listens to and doesn’t.

Yes, Patton's weather prayer does immediately come to mind. Viewed on a timeline, it occurred just before the Battle of the Bulge started, and Patton managed to accomplish things that none of his superiors believed were possible.
When Chaplain James H. O’Neill met with Patton to submit the requested prayer, they also discussed how prayer in the ranks tended to dwindle when troops were idle, waiting for the offensive to resume. Thus, when the Chaplain returned to his quarters to issue Patton's order for the printing and distribution of 250,000 prayer cards with the weather prayer, he also issued a directive in Patton’s name, to all of his hundreds of subordinate chaplains in Third Army as well as senior officers in more than twenty divisions:
“Pray when driving. Pray when fighting. Pray alone. Pray with others. Pray by night and pray by day. Pray for the cessation of immoderate rains, for good weather for Battle…Pray for victory. Pray for our Army, and Pray for Peace.”
It sure seems like God was listening on that occasion.
