DRAMA: Rep. Nancy Mace "walks out" of Congressional briefing on war with Iran
X ^ | March 25 | Rep. Mace

Posted on 03/25/2026 12:18:25 PM PDT by RandFan

@RepNancyMace

Just walked out of a House Armed Services briefing on Iran. Let me repeat: I will not support troops on the ground in Iran, even more so after this briefing.

@RepNancyMace

The justifications presented to the American public for the war in Iran were not the same military objectives we were briefed on today in the House Armed Services Committee. This gap is deeply troubling. The longer this war continues, the faster it will lose the support of Congress and the American people.

@RepNancyMace

Washington’s war machine is hard at work. They are try to drag us into Iran to make it another Iraq. We can’t let them.

Try reading "Legacy of Ashes: The History of the CIA" by Tim Wiener. You'll think differently.

There is no book I could read ever that could possibly convince me that, as you claimed:

...the CIA hasn’t been right about one thing since it was organized in 1947.

Only a conspiracist fool, or just a liar, who believes everyone else is flat-out stupid could possible make such a blanket statement. On at least two specific occasions of which I know, I was briefed on classified information that was CIA-sourced. And on both occasions, it was correct.

This shouldn't even need to be said, but any author who claimed that the CIA hasn't been right about "one thing" since 1947 is also claiming that they know every detail of every single analysis written by anyone in the CIA since 1947. There isn't anyone familiar with all of that, inside or outside the CIA. That's just a complete joke.

There are also innumerable bits of CIA reports that are public, and were also correct. Hell, they were yapping up a storm about bin Laden prior to 9/11, and of course pinned 9/11 on him as the head of the organization that pulled it off. But they must have been wrong about that as well, so who do you think did it? The Jooooos?

The CIA obviously isn't always correct either - that would be an equally stupid statement to make. But that doesn't make your "hasn't been right about one thing" statement any less ridiculous.

I’d say she has made her stand on this one, for sure.

You're right. And so unusual for this typically calm and reserved member.

In her book her young self frequently brings up that the people around her in school or at the Citadel always think she is a slutty whore, which is sort of weird since she is always the brightest, the most athletic, the hardest working, the most sincere, the best, the bravest,the fairest, the most considerate and thoughtful, the most tolerant, the most unfairly treated, the most underestimated, the most liked by authority figures (silently of course) etc, etc, etc.

"There is no book I could read ever that could possibly convince me that, as you claimed."

Then remain ignorant. You defend the CIA, but haven't provided one example to counter my allegations.

I’m pretty sure you meant to say “losing arguments to geriatric patriots wearing MAGA hats.”

There fixed it for ya.

I know there’s absolutely nothing interesting to do in Canada, so I don’t blame you for trolling and thirst trapping FR.

It must suck to be Canadian.

I wouldn’t know, but I’m so glad we got Jack Hughes!

China has lost face by having Iran defeated on the battlefield so soundly. Do they have incentive to give the mullahs a nuke now?

Or will they quietly give them a nuke later? Or have they decided they bet on an uncontrollable horse, and are looking for another proxy?

Don’t the Chinese have to do something?

The Marine barracks bombing in Beirut — the entire mission, in fact — was a disaster by any objective measure.

And Operation Earnest Will — where someone in the U.S. thought it made sense to put U.S. flags on Kuwaiti tankers during the Iran-Iraq War — never should have happened.

A lot of people here don't seem to fully understand the complete insanity of the Iranian Islamic regime. They WANT to see the world burn, and don't care if they burn with it.

Do they? They've had 47 years to do that. They haven't done it yet.

I may have missed something on a thread the other day. I have had so many posts on my page in recent weeks that I can’t keep up!

They’ve not had the means and still don’t but not for want of trying. 12’er theology demands a apocalyptical event be triggered to release the 12 Iman. If they had a nuke they would use it and hope it triggers a general nuclear exchange. It’s their theology their religious believe! Is that so hard to understand? So what we should take one for the Western team and absorb it before we act?

Putting all that aside they’ve been killing Americans since 1979. Should we just let that continue? Just kick the can further down the road an hope they grow out of it all the while more Americans die. Yeah that’s a responsible approach!

They’ve not stopped working toward it, either.

Some people here seem to want to sit on their asses and wait for the bombs to fall, before they will accept the proof of what the radical Iranian cultists intend.

Should we not have executed ‘Midnight Hammer’?

A lot of people here don't seem to fully understand the complete insanity of the Iranian Islamic regime horrific and lethal mass death awaiting us from COVID. They WANT to see the world burn, and don't care if they burn with it.

This is the crap that was polluting FR almost exactly six years ago.

You’ll have to forgive some of us for being skeptical as hell about the hysteria the government and various social media Karens are peddling endlessly.

I didn’t buy the terrible danger of Covid.

I DO buy the danger of Iran.

I think it’s preposterous and simple-minded to conflate the two.

Like it of not….Once we broke it, we bought it and this must be brought to a decisive victory.

Uh, no. And who is “we?”

I conflate anything I hear from government sources. Had several family members from the Vietnam era who served in combat, and they were the most cynical, jaded men you will ever meet. I guess it rubbed off on me.

I’m sorry for you.

My father served in WWII. I guess different things rubbed off on me.
