WASHINGTON — Delta Air Lines is punishing Congress for failing to fund the Department of Homeland Security.
The airline company has temporarily yanked its special congressional desk service to lawmakers and staffers on Capitol Hill until Congress finally funds the DHS, which has been in a partial shutdown since Feb. 28.
“Due to the impact on resources from the longstanding government shutdown, Delta will temporarily suspend specialty services to members of Congress flying Delta,” the company said in a statement first reported by the Atlanta Journal-Constitution.

Members of congress and their staff should be paid by the state they are representing.
Make them go to the end of the line to board and disembarking. If they are in first class bump them back over the smallest reason.

Flew Delta to Edinburg and then back home. One of the best flights I’ve been on. Planning a trip to Spain and will definitely fly them again.
Congress was originally a part time job, meeting for less than six months a year, and paid with a modest per diem stipend. Members of Congress were expected to have a regular job and income in their home districts.
Yep. And rank and file flyers are paying for the ‘congress desks.’
I’ll bet they just guarantee private jets for themselves. Why should they have to face the wrath of their own polcies?
