The Paramount+ 'Star Trek' show will end after its already filmed second season.
So much for Paramount+‘s Gen Z Star Trek show.
The streamer has decided to end Star Trek: Starfleet Academy after season two.
Starfleet Academy had recently finished airing its debut season. Paramount+ had (rather optimistically, as it turned out) already ordered a second season, which recently wrapped production.
Starfleet Academy has been a polarizing entry in the Trek canon. Many critics have celebrated the show for focusing on a younger generation and its coming-of-age themes. On social media, the show has been a frequent target of mockery from those who claim the show is too “woke.”
On Rotten Tomatoes, the show had an 87 percent positive critics score, but a dismal 51 percent audience score.
The show also never managed to chart among Nielsen’s weekly top 10 streaming lists for viewership.
The news comes at a time when there are no longer any Star Trek TV shows in production, though there are two previously filmed seasons of Strange New Worlds that have yet to air.

Concord was so bad, all customers were refunded their money and the server was shut down.
Christopher Lee released a metal album in his 90’s.
Res ipsa loquitur.
Doctor Odyssey was like that in the first half of its only season. Too much, too fast. The show was a good idea, but poorly executed.

I had to look that one up. Ha! Excellent.
Faith, Honor, Morals, Integrity, Courage, Compassion, Duty.
None of which exist anywhere except in the Original Star Trek Series and movies produced by Gene Roddenberry or Leonard Nimoy and star the original characters (and of course very carefully selected co-stars).
My only exception of this was Kirk’s son, who in real life was the quintessential poof and boy could you tell when he was playing his part in the movie “Wrath of Khan”. Eeeeyikes.
And to find out that he had used a substance called “ Protomatter” to solve the biggest problem—and also the most immense reason why the entire Project Genesis shouldn’t have gone forward in the first place.
God Created and put into place everything that existed, and the whole process was to go in and terraform a so-called dead planetoid. McCoy challenged that notion with Spock. We all heard his answer. And McCoy’s.
I can’t believe it had two seasons. I thought the first episode that was aired on free streaming bombed.
There was a video I saw recently where Kurtzman is explaining he is using Star Trek to support black lives matter and LGBTQ+... etc. He brought us a Klingon in a dress....
Nerdrotic: “Every second of new Kurtzman Trek destroys the legacy of Star Trek and ensures that it will never return”
One last one. The Critical Drinker’s 8 minute video comes to bury SA, not to praise it...

You can’t imagine.
😆
That man could do no wrong.
And Civ 6 was awful. I evidentially about Civ V the way you do about Civ III.
Weird fun.
One of my favorites is, "Sideways"
Yours is also really good.
a tip of the booze bottle to The Critical Drinker who eviscerated that ridiculous woke show in this review ...
“YouTuber Disparu’s reviews of each episode were more popular than the show...”
i think that was also true of the The Critical Drinker’s reviews of the show as well ...
Yes SIDEWAYS was great. He did one called BARNEY’S RULES or BARNEY’S SOMETHING…. A small Canadian produced flick but good cast and story. Check it out ….
BARNEY’S VERSION sorry….
Skip to season 2. It gets a little better.
Oh, I wouldn't say that ... this show had a lot of tribbles. And none of their tribbles were little ones ...
