The resignation of Joe Kent as head of the National Counterterrorism Center triggered widespread political reaction centered on U.S. policy toward Iran.
Donald Trump welcomed Kent’s departure, criticizing his view that Iran was not a threat and asserting the opposite. Tulsi Gabbard emphasized that the president determines national security threats and stated that Trump concluded Iran posed an imminent danger requiring action.
Kent resigned amid disagreements with the administration’s approach to Iran, including military action. In his statements, he argued Iran was not a direct threat and suggested U.S. decisions were influenced (supposedly) by Israel.
Although Democrats had previously opposed Kent’s nomination due to his ties and views, some of them, suddenly promoted his "theories" in their overall anti Trump war.
He should be required to wear Depends for the next 5 years...
Benedict Arnold was an American hero who saved the revolution, until he threw a tantrum and became a traitor...
I listen to Mark Levin for his historical insights and his commentary about the poliktical war of the Leftnicks taking America to Communism. Your question—”Why are you listening to Mark Levin?”—suggests Levin values more about America than you do on your little finger.
Youre as fulla crap as that guy is.
Kent 8is a dhimmi. Check into his personal life, somewhere he has a Muslim connection.....either in a burka or behind or under the bed.
It's actually a good question. I'll offer a few points:
1. It has never attacked the US (Iran did cause over 1,000 US casualties)
2. Though a terrible Islamist regime, it never declared to wipe out nations.
3. It is not the head of terror snake.
4. It doesn't activate proxies against the US
5. It did not plot assassinations of US presidents and US citizens.
Pakistan is majority Sunni while Iran is majority Shia. That might be the difference, though both sects can be violent.
Google AI:
“Sunni and Shia are the two main branches of Islam, splitting originally over the rightful successor to Prophet Muhammad. Sunnis (85–90% of Muslims) believe in elected leadership, while Shias (10–15%) believe in infallible, divinely ordained leaders from the Prophet’s family, centering on Imamah.”
Because he is linked with Kookie Qatarlson and never really left Hitler-fan Fuentes influence
I’m calling my brother who is a close friend of Joe Kent. He should tell me if this is a strategy for running for Congress.

Late 2024 U.S. DOJ charged an Iranian asset with directing criminal associates to surveil and plan the possible murder of Trump and other critics living in the U.S.; cases involved alleged plots and charges, and some associates were arrested.
He should be given the Mark Kelly treatment. Lower his rank and cut his pay.
Kent spent two decades in the military
Kent enlisted in the U.S. Army at age 17, completed Airborne School and the Ranger Indoctrination Program, and earned his Green Beret as a Special Forces Weapons Sergeant in 2003 after arriving at the qualification course just days after the 9/11 attacks. Over 20 years, he rose through the ranks to become a Warrant Officer and was selected for a Special Missions Unit—an elite tier-one designation comparable to Delta Force—deploying across Iraq and Yemen.

he argued Iran was not a direct threat

He’s not wrong here. that is, he is not wrong for today and tomorrow.

Is Mark winding up that Pratt/Whitney again?
I guess it does not matter but he was backed by Steve Wynn and Peter Thiel when he ran for congress. Linkages to Peter Thiel continue to be interesting to me.
I watched one analyst saying if we don’t know their timeline plans, that is already an constant imminent danger. And it makes sense.
That’s all true. And I would add one other important factor: India.
