Has there ever been a period in American history in the memory of almost all living people in which there has been so much change in the year since Donald Trump returned to the presidency in 2025? The whirlwind of change, both national and worldwide, is almost beyond comprehension. And in the midst of writing about all that shock over the sudden changes initiated by Trump, it is possible to slip up and make stunning admissions.
Such seemed to be the case with Politico senior executive editor Alexander Burns when he appeared to slip up on Monday in "Trump Buries the 20th Century" and concede that Joe Biden was dysfunctional:

I think you should update your photo on the Newsbusters website and everywhere else you’re published. That photo you put out there has to be at least 30 years old, if not older. Whaddya think?
LOL. In other words, the only way a horrible, evil person like Trump got elected is because we had an unmitigated disaster like Biden as president before him.

No doubt a fair amount of that went back to the democRATS.
You know, the week that Politico lost their USAID money they couldn’t make payroll. They eventually found some other money somewhere for it.
Strange that no one ever followed up on that.

Well, my dad wrote a column for the local paper way back when. He used his old photo, that was probably 20 or so years old. Even though he was very handsome in it, it just seemed like he was trying too hard. When his first column came out, he used that photo, and it only resembled him a little. He had aged gracefully, and seriously, that old photo just looked dated.
We kids encouraged him to take a new photo and start using that instead. That way, when he was about town, people who read his column began to piece together who he was and what he had to say. It was all good. Don’t be afraid to update. I think it will be helpful for people to see the real you.
