🔥It’s confirmed—Trump wasn’t lying.
A Chinese crew member has verified that the United States truly possesses a “super weapon” capable of completely knocking out the other side’s signals.
A large Chinese vessel in the Strait of Hormuz reportedly lost its signal entirely. The operating ship experienced a total GPS signal blackout.
In the video, a Chinese crew member complains that the clock was running unusually fast and that the GPS signal had become chaotic and disrupted.

Do we really want articles like this describing capabilities our opponents should be working really hard to steal or block?

Sounds more like messing with the GPS satellites than any kind of “superweapon.”

My understanding has been that the Chinese do not use the US GPS system, which is based on older US military technology. They have their own equivalent satellite-based location system (which provides much more accurate consumer-grade results) - if the US is capable of blocking that system, that's interesting and hopefully does not lead to effective Chinese counter-measures.

Could the Chinese GPS system being different than the US uses explain why the phone is OK but the clock isn’t?

Makes you wonder what that weird looking plane was doing up there all that time. The XPS-35?

Directed energy that vibrates through the ships hull with an overenergizing electromagnetic field or something? That would block GPS and mess with the clock. It would also allow the cellphone to record and not mess with the electronics.
Something like an ultrastrong proton beam? We have proton beam therapy for cancer, so it would make sense that you could project a beam like that and it could energize a metal body like a ship.

That is one of my “Guilty Pleasure” movies...the predicate is just silly, but...anything with Tomcats and Zeros in it can’t be a bad thing!!!

from the web....
Iran has significantly disrupted GPS and Automatic Identification System (AIS) signals in the Strait of Hormuz, creating a dangerous digital fog that is paralyzing maritime traffic.
