A35-year-old Florida woman named Ivanna Ortiz was arrested in the shooting of Rihanna’s home with an AR-15-style weapon, according to a report.

Ortiz is being held on $10.2 million bail, and officials have not cited a motive for the attack, the Los Angeles Times reported.
She was arrested after at least 10 shots were fired into the Beverly Hills home of Rihanna while the pop star was inside, Los Angeles police said.
Los Angeles police responded to the report of the shooting at 1:21 p.m. PT Sunday, and no injuries were reported, LAPD Sgt. Jonathan de Vera said.
“When they pulled the suspect over and took her into custody, they searched the vehicle and located an assault rifle and seven casings,” LAPD spokesperson Armen Arias said.
LAPD found bullet holes in a gate at Rihanna’s home and in an RV parked in the driveway, Arias added.

The sources, who spoke only on condition of anonymity because of the secrecy of the grand jury probe, said FBI agents are receiving terabytes of electronic election data from Maricopa County, about a month after the bureau first disclosed an investigation into election irregularities by raiding a warehouse near Atlanta and seizing ballots from the 2020 election conducted in Fulton County, Georgia’s largest metropolis.

The subpoena comes five years after the GOP-led Arizona state Senate conducted a lengthy investigation into the 2020 election and concluded there were significant irregularities.
People familiar with the FBI investigation told Just the News that the bureau has received data under subpoena for multiple elections including 2020 and 2024.
More recently, the bureau was alerted to a report filed by Republican and Democrat election observers who believed they observed irregularities in November 2024 at a warehouse in Arizona where blank and filled-out absentee ballots were observed in the same location, according to the sources.

States Tighten and Rewrite Voter Laws Ahead of 2026 Midterms
A wave of election-law changes across the country is set to reshape voting, mail ballots, voter roll maintenance, and citizenship verification before the next major federal election.
A number of Republican-led states moved to tighten election safeguards. Alabama passed a law clarifying that driver’s licenses issued to noncitizens do not qualify as valid voter ID, while also requiring more frequent voter roll maintenance. Florida created a new felony offense for noncitizens who vote and made it a felony to knowingly solicit a noncitizen to vote. Wyoming now requires proof of citizenship to register to vote, and Ohio adopted new rules requiring election officials to challenge voters attempting to use IDs indicating noncitizen status.
Several states also targeted voter roll accuracy. The Epoch Times reported that Idaho, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Oklahoma, Texas, and Wyoming expanded the use of government databases, including DMV records and the federal SAVE database, to identify potentially ineligible voters and remove noncitizens or outdated registrations from voter rolls.
Mail voting rules are also changing significantly before 2026. Kansas, Ohio, and North Dakota tightened ballot receipt deadlines so ballots must generally be received by Election Day instead of arriving afterward with a timely postmark. Nebraska added signature matching requirements for mail-ballot envelopes, while Montana now requires voters to include their date of birth alongside their signature when returning a mail ballot. New Hampshire also toughened its absentee process by requiring a photo ID copy or notarized signature with mail-ballot applications, according to The Epoch Times.
Other states expanded ballot curing or adjusted absentee procedures. California shortened the deadline for curing certain ballot issues, while Louisiana now allows voters to cure defective ballots by receiving a replacement ballot from a registrar instead of appearing in person. Minnesota also tightened its absentee ballot request requirements by requiring both an ID number and the last four digits of a Social Security number in most cases, The Epoch Times reported.
Some states are also changing the structure of election administration itself. Arizona moved its primaries from August to July and increased access for poll watchers and party-designated challengers. Kentucky established a new Unit of Election Investigations and Security within the attorney general’s office. Texas increased penalties for voter fraud and now requires local law enforcement to report probable election law violations to the state attorney general.

Meanwhile, Democrat-run states pushed changes in the opposite direction in some areas. California passed laws expanding observer access to signature verification and extended ballot receipt deadlines in certain all-mail elections. New Mexico now allows unaffiliated voters to participate in primaries, and Rhode Island opened its permanent mail voting list to all voters rather than limiting it to the disabled or chronically ill.
Colorado also passed a sweeping package of election laws, including one allowing candidates to pick their own election watchers and another that treats visible firearms near voting activity as presumptive intimidation regardless of intent, as noted by The Epoch Times. The state also expanded multilingual ballot access and created new legal avenues to sue over alleged voter suppression or vote dilution.
In Arkansas, voters will consider a 2026 constitutional amendment explicitly stating that only U.S. citizens can vote in state elections, though the state already requires photo ID. As Canadian parliament debates legislation to criminalize supposed hate speech, comments against “gender ideology” in the curriculum have already cost a former British Columbia school board member the equivalent of more than half a million U.S. dollars.
A nurse who got kicked out of her own union for gender-critical views said the verdict against ex-Chilliwack Board of Education trustee Barry Neufeld shows “I do not have a snowball’s chance in hell” before the same quasi-judicial body.
The British Columbia Human Rights Tribunal ordered Neufeld to pay $750,000 Canadian to all LGBTQ-identified members of the Chilliwack Teachers’ Association for “injury to their dignity, feelings, and self-respect,” citing discrimination in employment, hate speech and “discriminatory publications” on Facebook, “statements made in Board meetings, rallies, and interviews.”
Neufeld was one of the “loudest critics” of the Ministry of Education approving resources and tools intended to create an “inclusive education environment” on the basis of sexual orientation and gender identity, as required by the province’s update of the Human Rights Code, the tribunal’s decision says.
The trustee described SOGI 123, as the resources are known, as a “weapon of propaganda” that threatens “traditional family values” and teaches children the “absurd theory” and “lie” that “gender is not biologically determined, but a social construct,” which distances children from their parents and makes them ripe for sexual abuse.
“For five years, he publicly denigrated LGBTQ people and teachers and associated them with the worst forms of child abuse,” the verdict says.

In 2024, Houston’s former Democratic mayor Sylvester Turner won CD 18, a Democratic stronghold, filling an open seat vacated by deceased U.S. Rep. Sheila Jackson Lee. A left-wing activist group is teaching citizens in D.C. how to get on juries and vote to acquit defendants in cases brought by the Trump Justice Department, according to materials reviewed by the Washington Free Beacon. The group, Freedom Trainers—whose fiscal sponsor is the far-left, Soros-funded nonprofit Community Change—promotes “jury nullification,” the practice of voting “not guilty” even when jurors believe the defendant broke the law. Training slides instruct participants to conceal their motives—“never mention jury nullification,” avoid signaling political motives, “dress in neutral clothes,” and say they will consider the evidence fairly. So leave the Che Guevara T-shirt at home.Once selected for a jury, trainees are told they can vote to acquit “for any reason you believe is just.” A pamphlet distributed by the group says jurors can reject a conviction “even if the technical elements of the crime were technically met.” Freedom Trainers cofounder Daniel Hunter described the tactic as “a legal remedy to correct when the court system, when the Department of Justice, has gone astray and awry.”
Freedom Trainers says it was formed in late 2024 to prepare activists for a second Trump administration and claims to have trained “hundreds of thousands of committed people” nationwide.
The Justice Department warned that efforts to influence juries undermine the judicial system. “While we respect jurors’ role in the judicial process, the Department takes jury nullification and interference with official proceedings extremely seriously,” a DOJ spokeswoman said, adding that groups attempting to improperly sway jurors “should be held accountable.”

Nearly a decade ago, German newspapers portrayed Asmerom G. as a success story for migrant integration.
According to reports at the time, he arrived in Germany in 2013, claiming to have fled Eritrea due to political persecution.
In 2016, he was working as an electrical assistant at a company in Rheinbach, in the western state of North Rhine-Westphalia.
German media outlets reported positively on his story, highlighting him as an example of how integration could succeed.

In Delhi, a 26-year-old man identified as Tarun Kumar was beaten to death by a group of Muslim men following a dispute that began during Holi celebrations in the Uttam Nagar area. The chain of events began earlier in the day, when residents in a narrow lane of the JJ Colony locality were celebrating Holi.
During the festivities, an 11-year-old girl threw a water-filled balloon at her uncle, which accidentally burst near — not on, mind you — a Muslim woman walking in the street, splashing a little bit of colored water on her. The woman objected to the incident, but the girl’s family immediately and profusely apologized, saying that they consider the Muslim woman like their sister, and that the child had made a mistake, this wasn’t done intentionally. The situation appeared to calm down, but it was a temporary calm, meant to last only until a frantic mob could be arranged to avenge the water splash.
Later that evening, Tarun Kumar returned to the neighborhood on his motorcycle after celebrating Holi with friends. He was a member of the child’s extended family who had no involvement in the earlier dispute, and was unaware of the altercation that had occurred earlier that day. A murderous mob of around 15 to 20 Muslims ambushed Tarun. Witnesses claim that this group dragged him off the motorcycle and began assaulting him collectively. They used iron rods, sticks, bricks, and stones as they bludgeoned him. Kumar was repeatedly struck on the head and body while he was on the ground. The assault continued for several minutes, with the rampaging mob striking him even after he was seriously injured and unable to defend himself. The victim’s uncle recounted that the attackers hurled a large stone onto his chest as Tarun lay injured and defenseless on the road.
Family members who rushed to the scene after hearing the commotion were also attacked. Tarun’s father and uncle were severely injured in the confrontation.
Officials have arrested four adults and detained one juvenile in connection with the incident, reminding us that there is no concept of being a child among the jihad-inclined Muslims. They are young and well trained. Authorities are trying to identify more suspects from CCTV footage and witness testimonies.

Two years ago on March 8, 2024, 81 individuals from 17 countries (Australia, Austria, Belgium, Canada, Denmark, Germany, India, Iran, Israel, Netherlands, Philippines, Russia, South Africa, Uganda, United Kingdom and the US) submitted a joint and thoroughly documented 73-page complaint to the United Nations (UN) Human Rights Council on the gross, reliably attested, and continuing pattern of the violation of women’s human rights caused by Sharia.
Nothing was heard back from the UN beyond the initial acknowledgement of receipt of the complaint.

A 22-year-old Moroccan asylum seeker, who was staying at a taxpayer-funded Dutch asylum center, has been arrested in connection with a violent assault and attempted rape of a 19-year-old woman in the Rotterdam district of Schiebroek. The man, who was staying at a reception centre in Hendrik-Ido-Ambacht, was apprehended at Dordrecht station on Wednesday after police released his photograph earlier that afternoon.
A Rotterdam police spokeswoman confirmed the suspect’s status as an asylum seeker. According to sources cited by De Telegraaf, he is what is known as a “safe lander” — someone who applies for asylum despite coming from a country considered safe and who has no realistic prospect of being granted leave to remain in the Netherlands.
