A Somali wrong-way truck driver caught barreling a “80-ton truck” down a Missouri highway wasn’t able to read road signs and allegedly failed an English proficiency test after being pulled over, authorities said.
The trucker was filmed driving in the northbound lanes on Highway 61 near Troy, about 55 miles outside of St. Louis, at 8 a.m. on Wednesday before finally crossing over and heading the right way, terrifying video shared by US Transportation Security Sean Duffy on X shows.
“We have learned that a truck driver with a Minnesota CDL who couldn’t read basic road signs spent MILES driving the wrong way in an 80 TON truck!” Duffy wrote on Wednesday.
Duffy confirmed that the “dangerous trucker is now out of service.”
Missouri State Highway Patrol troopers discovered that the trucker was behind the wheel despite being unable to identify basic road signs required for a commercial license, Fox 2 Now reported.
Authorities said the driver had a valid commercial driver’s license and exhibited no signs of impairment or medical issues.
However, during the traffic stop, police said that the “driver was unable to complete the English proficiency test,” Sgt. Dallas Thompson told the outlet.
“In Missouri, they have to be able to understand English, take the test in English, and pass the road sign test here,” Thompson said, adding that state and federal regulations mandate English proficiency for commercial drivers.

TI bet this Somali is also a distinguished graduate from one of the infamous Minneapolis Learing Centers!!
Oops I graduated from there too
Out of Service?? I PRAY he’s OUT OF THIS COUNTRY!! NO SOMALIS...EVER!
Again, all the enablers and participants in this travesty of justice should be in prison. And, shouldn’t Blondi be prosecuting the autopen criminals for bringing these low iq crimigrants into our country? How come we’re not hearing about this anymore?
Driving on the wrong side of the road is OK because he had his 4-way flashers on. But racist cops arrested him anyway. /s
as should every person who approves a non English speakers license. Otoh, how does anyone pass an eye test if they cant speak English? Or the written test?
In other news, democrats rush to defend poor, bullied somali immigrant who makes our lives better in every way.
Somalians continue to prove that they are the stupidest bunch of pea brains on the face of the earth. Send every one of them back. Leave no Somalian behind
Trucking companies should be held responsible too. Taylor truck lines has offices in Minnesota and Tennessee. How do these drivers get hired if they cant read simple English?
Obviously a graduate of the Quality Learing Center.
NYP left a bit out...

Per the above, on the carrier...
“...It is registered to an apartment in Hopkins. The carrier’s status with the U.S. Department of Transportation is listed as being active with two drivers in its fleet. The company reported driving 81,552 miles in 2024...”
Where’s the other driver?
Which company issued them insurance?
shoulda got all the gypsies too ...
+1
“a truck driver with a Minnesota CDL who couldn’t read basic road signs spent MILES driving the wrong way in an 80 TON truck!”
Tampon Tim strikes again.
Some people need to go to prison for this...and I don’t mean the drivers.
This is reckless disregard for human life. Any moron could understand what would result from this.
There needs to be prison time for those responsible for handing them licenses. This is the root cause, it is reckless.
There was no 80 ton truck. At best it was 50 ton
A total max gross weight is only 40 tons
Of course I arrived at that number using arithmetic and arithmetic calculations are beyond the scope of a journalist education
