The AI provided outdated information. Try again and add 2026

I think Strom Thurmond and Sam Irvin stood up for it as well.

Yes I knw that, AI has no intelligence in reality. Having worked with computers as a career, they can only retrieve data that is available to the computer. But AI usually gives the resources from which it pulled information from. Most people just never take the time to review them. 😁👍

But you are correct, and many people believe that AI actually is learning because that is the language that is intentional being used to give the impression that the machine is learning. This is done to make people believe that the machine actully possess intelligence, but the reality is, the programmers are the ones learning how to improve AI's responses to give a convincing illusion that the mahine is learning. As you might guess the reason for doing that is to build the impression in those who do not know better, that the machine actually possesses intelligencve. Imagine how that can be used to control masses of the population, for those who believe that narrative.

Do not make the mistake that AI is not impressive, because it is, but as you say, the answers are only as correct as the data is has available to pproduce a response to a question asked.

It really is an interesting tool, but as with all computers, garbage in means that garbage out will be the result with any computer. In this case the computer found an instance that fit the question, because the question failed to ask that the question was referring to last night's SOTU Address by Preident Trump, on 2/24/2026. Without the qualifier, it will report on any instance that it happens to find that seems to answer the question as asked. 😁👍

Hey AI says I am dead...lol Traced it back to a comment I made on my cousin’s mother’s obituary and it somehow construed from that... I died (I have an unusual last name, so yes I am the person it said died).

Well, according to the secretary of interior you people just don’t understand the wonder that is AI and you need to be educated...

Anytime someone says that about 80% of the population there is more than a little arrogance involved.

So, you are saying that if those who receive the information from AI do not already have the experience and knowledge to discern right and wrong can be easily misled by AI?

AI then would only be the equivalent of a research assistant.

Interesting.

CURRENT AI PROBLEMS
1) Objective fact. Example: Ask a geographic question. It gets the City and State right (in my experience) but 30% of the time places the city in the wrong county, a county on the other side of the state.
2) Subjective opinion. Example: It quotes SPLC Southern Poverty Law Center as fact when it is opinion.
3) Incomplete: Ask to list place (or people) with certain attributes. It will list 5 of the 10 most prominent and 12 of the 20 more obscure. But will miss 5 of the 10 most prominent.
4) Hallucinate: It will make up out of thin air answers and sources for those answers that have no basis at all in its available data store.
5) other.....

I think two of them are pretty iffy; they vote with the party they think might help their situation the best.

Did we have AI working last night & the people shown on TV weren’t really the ones we thought they were? If so, it is definitely past time we got rid of AI.

The camera was focused on Mark Kelly for a time. He was definitely seated then...altho that may have been following Trump pushing the Save America Act.
