Deputy Attorney General Todd Blanche took to social media Friday to fire a U.S. attorney newly appointed to his post by judges, further engulfing the leadership of one of the most important prosecutor's offices in the country into uncertainty.
Hours after the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Virginia unanimously appointed James Hundley, an attorney with 35 years of experience to the role -- which was vacated after the appointment of President Donald Trump's handpicked attorney was deemed unlawful -- Blanche announced his termination with a snarky statement.
"Here we go again. EDVA judges do not pick our US Attorney. POTUS does. James Hundley, you're fired!" Blanche wrote.

My mother knew James Hundley’s father, Bill Hundley, growing up in Brooklyn. Bill Hundley became a lawyer and one of RFK’s shot callers in the Department of Justice.

Why the hell are judges appointing other judges?
If we can’t thwart these liberal activist judges when we have the majority in all 3 branches of government, how the hell are we going to survive once the Dems get even one, 2 or all 3 majorities in govt.?
My mother’s childhood home was within a mile or so of the Battle of Brooklyn and from where Washington and his defeated army pulled off a miraculous escape across the East River. Ruth Bader Ginsburg also grew up a few blocks over in a Jewish neighborhood. Alas, the area eventually became run down and mostly Puerto Rican.
The Judiciary is the last vestige of tyranny
The hold up in the Senate is exactly this.
By blocking President Trump's nominees in the Senate, the Democrats are creating permanent vacancies that cause Trump's interim appointments to expire after 120 days. Once that happens, the judges get to choose the US Attorney that is favorable to them. Then Trump's DoJ fires that attorney. Trump then argued that the firing of the court-selected attorney creates a new vacancy that starts the 120-day clock all over again, but the courts have questioned that (starting with Alina Habba), arguing that the law says "the interim attorney," meaning one shot only before the judges can select the lawyer who argues before them.
So here we are. The Democrats have created a scheme whereby the judges get to pick the lawyers and Trump's DoJ can't prosecute any Democrats in these districts.
This is the scheme the Democrats used to block the prosecutions of LaMonica McIver in New Jersey, Leticia James in New York, and James Comey in Virginia.
