Former Gov. Bill Richardson’s name removed from UNMH building amid Epstein file questions (University of New Mexico Hospital)

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. – Former Gov. Bill Richardson’s name has been removed from a UNM Hospital building amid questions about his ties to Jeffrey Epstein.

UNM officials confirmed the decision to rename the building was made in 2026 when the hospital opened the new critical care tower. Communications Director Chris Ramirez said the change aimed to simplify building names and assist patients.

When asked if Richardson’s relationship with Epstein influenced the decision, Ramirez said he didn’t have an answer and couldn’t specify when the name was officially removed.

On Capitol Hill, the House Judiciary Committee questioned Attorney General Pam Bondi about handling the Epstein files. Meanwhile, New Mexico lawmakers are pursuing their own investigations.

State Rep. Andrea Romero is advocating for a truth commission to investigate Epstein’s activities at Zorro Ranch in Santa Fe County.

“We know that Jeffrey Epstein had friends in very, very high political places in New Mexico,” said Romero. “This is about justice. This is about the pursuit of the ability of survivors to have their place of justice in our state and to make sure it never happens again.”

The proposal will be debated on the state House floor this Friday. If approved, the commission could subpoena individuals to testify about events at Zorro Ranch.

Local radio host Eddy Aragon received an anonymous email alleging two girls were killed and buried at Zorro Ranch on Epstein’s orders. The email claims video evidence exists and requests payment in Bitcoin.

State Land Commissioner Stephanie Garcia Richard has asked the state Department of Justice to investigate the allegations, as Epstein leased state land around the ranch. The attorney general’s office is working to verify the email’s claims.

The so-called "Truth Commission" was approved by the NM House on Monday (2/16) and was up and running on Tuesday (2/17). I've posted two articles on its creation and activities.

Epstein has been dead for about six years. Why the delay?
Why no interest in the Epstein hoax during the Biden regime?

Before seeing this article, I had posted this comment at number 7 on the thread titled: "Truth-finding commission focused on Epstein's activities in New Mexico set to ramp up quickly"

"I’ll bet that former Bill Clinton/Lewinsky fixer, and later Governor of New Mexico Bill Richardson was involved with Epstein. Good thing he’s dead."

Given the Democrats’ obsession with identity politics, Richardson seemed like an obvious VP running mate because he was part Hispanic, and apparently Obama seriously considered him in 2008. That Obama went for Biden instead suggests he realized that Richardson had too many skeletons in his closet. Richardson died in 2023 at the age of 75.

If they change the names of all the crooked and politically incorrect politician buildings we will have to just use numbers.

They should leave his name up. Don't bury the past. Let people see how government entities embraced such corrupt individuals.

Put a bronze statue of him out front. Maybe with his pants down and a stack of money in one hand. Remind people where their tax money goes.

The PTB really have to shut down this Epstein stuff quick.

That weird “spirit cooking” is probably right around the corner. The tortured adrenaline blood from children.

We went to NM A couple of years ago because I wanted to see Santa Fe and the surrounding area. I forget why but someone told my wife that this is New Mexico. Bad things happen here.

What is the ultimate goal of this NM Truth Commission, do you suppose?

1. Find the supposedly buried bodies of under-age girls, and

2. Because this was a Dem idea, find that Trump was a pal of Epstein and participated in the coverups.

"It’s not for nothing that Epstein put his ranch in New Mexico"

According to a search, Epstein bought the ranch in 1993 while Democrat Bruce King was Governor. Libertarian Gary Johnson served as Governor of New Mexico from 1995 to 2003, after which Bill Richardson served from 2003 to 2011. Epstein's first arrest in Florida was in 2006, smack dab in the middle of Richardson's Governorship. I wonder if Richardson worked behind the scenes for him during that time. He was certainly willing to be Bill Clinton's bitch to hide the Lewinsky affair.
