The UK is blocking President Trump from using its military air bases for a possible attack on Iran — because the lefty government believes such strikes could violate international law and doesn’t want Britain implicated, according to a new report.
Trump has already hit back by slamming the UK prime minister’s plan to resolve a long-running dispute over a strategically crucial chain of islands in the Indian Ocean.
The White House is drawing up plans for a possible military strike on Iran that involves the use of the Royal Air Force base Fairford in England — which is a forward operating base for America’s heavy bombers, the Times reported.
Trump reportedly spoke with Prime Minister Keir Starmer about the plans Tuesday night, and UK officials were worried that giving the US permission to use the RAF bases for a military attack could breach international law, according to the Times.
Trump made a direct reference to the UK base in Diego Garcia — part of the Chagos Islands in the Indian Ocean nearly 6,000 miles from Britain — plus RAF Fairford.
He said the military facilities were necessary to attack Iran if the Islamic Republic fails to reach a nuclear deal with the US.

I think it is time for trump to add Diego Garcia to the list
of real estate acquisitions he intends to close on. As I recall
the UK is about to turn Diego Garcia to Mauritius and then
lease the military base back from the new owners. Screw that.
Just buy the whole damn island and tell everyone else (UK, Mauritius)

Guaranteed the USA paid for the improvements to these military facilities 10 times over already. TRUMP should declare them sovereign lands and tell the UK to FO!
F it, they either cooperate with us or move our bases to real allies Poland, Japan, Finland, Romania, etc… And a FU to NATO as well, we gain nothing of consequence from them anymore. I say let’s just move the base to Israel and be done with it.

I worked with the UK MoD and Foreign Office for 15 or 20 years before I retired. The UK has tried to F^^K the US every chance they could and come up with some dumb-a$$ excuse to get away with it.
Pull our troops out of the UK and throw their Foreign Service people out of the country. They have not been allies for many years and I cannot think of ANYTHING we need from their Islam worshiping government.

Almost certain I saw a recent report of their agreeing to restrict enrichment.
Everyone can snort and declare it’s all a lie, but again, haven’t seen the text of the original agreement. Maybe we agreed to drop all sanctions and broke that agreement.
