President Trump is sending the USS Gerald R. Ford, the world’s largest warship, to the Middle East, along with a huge fleet of aerial refueling tankers and F-22 and F-35 strike fighters, according to reports.
It would join the USS Abraham Lincoln carrier strike group in the Middle East as a major show of force amid US negotiations with Iran over its nuclear program.
The Ford — America’s most advanced aircraft carrier and the largest ever built — is designed to carry more than 75 aircraft, including F-35C Lightning II stealth fighters and F/A-18F Super Hornets, as well as EA-18G Growler radar-jamming jets.

My guess is there will be a negotiated agreement that on the surface looks good but will not last a year. Pres Trump has already abandoned the Iranians he urged on to revolution. So a temporary but positive looking nuke agreement is what I think he will settle for. He really is very uncomfortable with war and dead. He will choose a deal. What will make the deal go south is that the Iranians and others will recognize Pres Trump’s hatred of actual war.
Who else are we going to team up with in the Middle East to smoke the muzzies and their military stockpiles? It’s known that Iran has brought in from surrounding countries mercenaries to shoot up un armed civilians...personally I very much like the killings of as many muzzies as is possible and team that up with the expulsion of any muzzie in our Republic that we even think looks sideways. These subhumans that follow the kuran are fools and they breed like roaches with no respect for life as they easily kill their own and neighbors.
Carter ran around claiming he was a nuclear engineer. He wasn’t! He let a bad movie “The China Syndrome” dictate his nuclear power policy.

Iran has a large military in terms of personnel, tanks, and regional proxies, plus Iran has larger numbers in its missile arsenal.

Trump is a very successful builder in very difficult and dangerous territories, and he is building this operation very slowly and very carefully. It will be creative and completely out of the box.

I’m not really worried about that because few others have the means to wage actual war, and everyone knows that the USA has lots of means to take out a leader or a country that do not involve a shooting war.
Asymmetric gorilla warfare is the bugaboo. The US has been baited into a couple of those wars since WWII. They all end badly. Trump knows this. He knows it’s a win for the mullahs if the USA puts boots on the ground there, and the mullahs get to have their own gorilla war with the USA.
That’s the war the USA needs to avoid.
And it's not happening now. I seriously doubt outside Tehran and the diaspora anyone would characterize the protests this way
Trump has demonstrated already that he’s not a person to be messed with. Think Maduro. Think Kathy Griffith. Think of his GOP enemies that now work for him.
At this point there are fewer and fewer of our nation’s enemies that want to test him. China/Taiwan will wait until he’s gone and theRocket Man in North Korea got the message. It appears Trump is now going to have to teach the ayatollah a lesson and Vlad/Xi know better than to get in the way. 2 bombs on Iran’s nukes and a surgical operation against Maduro show how effective he is. Don’t forget Hamas/Isis.
Any taking out of the mullas will be a message to the others.
