The Vatican will not join President Donald Trump’s newly formed Board of Peace, its top diplomatic official said Tuesday, signaling reluctance from the Holy See to take part in the post-war initiative.
Vatican Secretary of State Cardinal Pietro Parolin said the Holy See "will not participate in the Board of Peace because of its particular nature, which is evidently not that of other States," the Vatican’s official news outlet reported.
The Board of Peace, which was chartered in January and includes nearly 20 countries, is tasked with managing recovery efforts in the Gaza Strip after the Israel-Hamas war.
While responding to questions about Italy declining to join the board, Parolin said "there are points that leave us somewhat perplexed," adding that "there are some critical points that would need to find explanations."
"The important thing is that an attempt is being made to provide a response," he said. "However, for us there are certain critical issues that should be resolved."

They do what China tells them to do. TDS pope.
The Vatican should not be involved in any politics.
What was it I heard the Pope referred to ?.... Oh yes... The Harlot of Rome.
“Do you want to get involved in a situation that’s been a mire for 70?” “Thanks for the offer but nope.”
The Pope is on the side where he fits, of course.
A clear refute to the idea of peace.
The Catholic leadership does not seek peace but instead control, interesting.
The Vatican is ‘Bored of Peace’.
That is not what the Catholic leadership said, they want to be involved but through the UN, the absolutely worst most corrupt organization on the planet, let that sink in.
Open issue that defy explanation include the lack of hookers and washing machines.
selections from the FRchives:
Vatican is officially a “permanent observer” in the UN. So if it’s a UN thing then the Vatican gets to “observe” the mess but not even vote. So “involved through the UN” for them is completely uninvolved.
Another globalist tool gets outed. There may be something to this 4D Chess thing.
UN and Leadership are at opposite sides of the universe.
The UN is a motley collection of misfit third world countries with actual civilized countries bending over on the sidelines asking to be butt-boinked.
They are all out of hiding now due to Trump.
The Catholic Church, and especially the Pope, should run as far away from Gaza and the Israeli v Arab conflict as possible. I wouldn’t have even commented, I would have just said that they couldn’t participate in good faith.
Total fail of logic, they know full well the UN makeup and agendas, have seen the corruption as “observers” and fully aware of the antisemitism rife throughout the organization.
What you presented is the equivalent of “I knew he would murder that person, but I only watched,” therefor I am not accountable.
The Catholic leadership literally through their support to the UN, ergo they support the UN methods and positions.
On Ash Wednesday as well.
Exactly, by proposing the UN as the alternative the Vatican showed their true intent, and it is not for peace, the majority of those in the UN support genocide of the Jews, the Vatican knows this.
I’m surprised they found time from buggering little boys to provide a response.
