Where are the Maltese Falcon Movies?
BEJ

I once predicted that the improvements in the realness of video games would never stop. That video games will look and act so real that we wouldn't be able to tell the difference between a game and real life. We will ask is that a real footbal game we're watching or is that a sports game being played? AI has delivered on that prediction to an astonishing way. Here is an example of how far AI has come.

Now my question is will Hollywood ever produce new films from dead actors? Will there be new Humphry Bogart movies? Will there be a part two or a sequel to movies like Casablanca or The Maltesse Falcon? Technically it should be possible, just like Steve McQueen (seen on the link) could be in a sequel to the movie Bullet. AI has delivered on my prediction and we can be evetually look forward to watching new Star Wars or Terminator movies using the original cast as AI characters. I think this is very possible but will Hollywood do movies of this kind, or maybe these older characters are not relevent to today's audiences as are the current generation of actors. Any thoughts?

“…with Bogart’s appearance, voice and mannerisms.“

That can be tricky. Watch him in Casablanca up until the Paris flashback scene then watch him in the Paris flashback. Very very different. You’d have to stitch together Bogart from different scene and movies or he’d probably seem weirdly flat.

Yes. In music, the need for live musicians have already gone puff. Sampling has taken the place of musicians being hired out. I think there will be a new genre for this stuff — dead actors playing themselves. AI resurrection of the dead... you can all it “Film Noir Noire” or some kind of handle like that.

“Now my question is will Hollywood ever produce new films from dead actors?”

Absolutely. If the dead actors’ heirs/families accept a cut and it’s legal, Hollywood will have a field day. Just imagine the “all star cast” of golden age stars, doing whatever the perverts in Hollyweird want them to do.

No, Hollywood does it backwards. They remake old movies with new actors. Generally with less skill in acting, directing, and editing.

Only example of a remake with new actors which was better than the original was the first Airplane movie, which was better than the original Zero Hour.

Ads will be the frontier for this before feature films. Next SuperBowl, we see Humphrey Bogart sitting in his darkened nightclub in Casablanca, trying to forget Ingrid Bergman. He holds up a bottle to the viewer, and says “This Bud’s for you, kid.”

Leave Bogart alone.

I’m only gonna say it once.

But whether that chemistry can be captured as good as the visual likeness is another question.

Indeed, that is really the benchmark.

When Jackie Chan jumps onto the stairs, he goes through the railing.

It will be like a new type of immortality for the actors.

Yeah, they are doing remakes of old movies quiet a lot. There is a video on how many times the movie Rebeccah was made and how all the original scences and camera angles were basically duplicated.

Maybe, we can now get the ending to Game of Thrones we always wanted. Instead of that abysmal failure we got instead.

What is the message of The Maltese Falcon?

The Maltese Falcon explores the importance of a personal code of ethics in a world of incompetent authorities and an imperfect criminal justice system.

They seen it coming

Passage to Marseille (1944) is considered to be a sequel to Casablanca. https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0037166/?ref_=fn_t_1
