Pima County Sheriff Chris Nanos told Fox News' Matt Finn that no one was arrested and no one remains in custody following an operation in Tucson conducted Friday in connection to the Nancy Guthrie case.
Sources told Fox News Digital that at least three people had been detained in connection to a search warrant conducted at a residence in Tucson late Friday about two miles from Guthrie's home. Photos gave a partial view of one man handcuffed and detained in the parking lot of a Culver's restaurant nearby in connection to the search warrant, but no charges were confirmed.
Authorities have not named any suspects or persons of interest two weeks since 84-year-old Guthrie vanished from her Tucson home on Feb. 1.

Wonder how big the lawsuits will be.
I can’t believe how important this one disappeared lady is.
With all that’s going on in the world.
I turn on the tube and this is what they re talking about all damn week.
What’s going on while this distracts?
Seriously.
And someone that was able to localize the blood splatters coming out of her mouth or nose (?) to the porch.
See my 37. Maybe it wasn’t all a waste...
The fnc coverage has caused me to watch many old movies on my DVD player, and I'm very happy that I switched.
How many times can they "review" the time line?
FNC looks stupid and who ever is making the programming decisions should be FIRED, YESTERDAY.
With all the money and resources that have been used on this investigation, dropping a bitcoin to see what the one extortionist, has might be worth it.
My guess is that Nancy Guthrie didn’t leave that house alive and all the talk about kidnapping and ransom is just an afterthought.
Just MHO . . .
It’s interesting the governor has been so quiet. A case with such high visibility I’d think she’d be out there in front. Are any state level agencies involved with the investigation? All I hear about is the sheriff and the FBI.
Sheriff says 40 LE cars is no big deal. We were just following up a lead. But gosh darn, it didn’t work out. I’m exhausted, he continued, and haven’t had a donut in a week.
My Mom has been so sick of the NON STOP coverage she has been watching old episodes of Highway to Heaven..heck she’s watching it right now
The longer this goes on, the less likely she will be found alive. She could have been taken across the border, whether alive or dead, an hour or so after the kidnapping when no one had any idea that she had been kidnapped.
Any lawsuits would go away quietly, after the plaintiffs were reminded how it would somehow help Trump.
Ah, that city has become “Boulder South”. Figures, since they’re trying to rot into the leftist nothingness of formerly neat Boulder, CO.
I’m still sticking with my original theory that its the SIL and maybe even the daughter. Likely they just don’t have enough evidence yet.
Supposedly the SIL has lawyered up and refused a polygraph.
I’m thinking the masked intruder is not a bumbling idiot. Nancy Guthrie is still missing. Her family doesn’t know if she is alive or dead. It appears the sheriff has exhausted all clues.
If Nancy Guthrie was abducted it is unlikely the masked intruder carried a 150 lb. woman down the road. So who helped him. How did they escape from the neighborhood? Car, silent EV, truck, horseback?
If the timeline is correct the intruder spent 41 minutes in Nancy Guthrie’s house. What was taken, what is missing. Was this an intruder looking for a thrill?
Sad, scary frustrating situation.
I can only think of one reason for that and it’s sure not to help solve the case.

I’m starting to think the sheriff knows the kidnappers are illegal aliens or fears they maybe so.
That article is only talking about last night’s shenanigans. The people detained have been released, and it’s back to square one.
This is like those “story arcs” on my police and detective shows. A cliffhanger followed by weeks of nothing conclusive, a highly paid favorite star or two written out to save money, then finally some action for the last seasonal episode. But the shows aren’t usually good enough to hold our interest as they drag along.
Now seeing the Arizona city’s one SWAT truck and one bomb squad truck move out on the roads doesn’t mean 10 hours of talking head speculation later will result in anything but “they let him go.”
RE: Highway to Heaven.
She might switch to Highway Patrol. They came to a conclusion
decisively after about 25 minutes.
