The San Francisco Bay Area experienced a sharp spike in private jet departures in the immediate aftermath of Super Bowl LX.

Hundreds of aircraft left regional airports within hours of the game ending at Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara.

The scale of the post-game exodus highlighted the intense travel demands created by the NFL’s biggest event.

Flight tracking data showed roughly 600 private jets departing the Bay Area following Super Bowl LX.

The surge represented an increase of more than 1,100 percent in departures across five regional airports compared to the previous Sunday.

San Jose Mineta International Airport served as the primary hub for private aviation due to its proximity to Levi’s Stadium.

Additional departures were recorded at airports in San Francisco, Oakland, Palo Alto, Livermore, and Hayward.

Cleared for takeoff after the single engine propeller planes with banners “Save the Planet” “Reduce Your Carbon Footprint” “Stop Climate Change” had all left.

Did the game end about 7 pm Pacific time? I guess I’m surprised so many jet set types didn’t stay overnight and leave the next morning. Also, any heading back east somewhere may well have arrived in the middle of the night local time. Seems odd to travel that way.

In many cases SB tix cost more than the private-jet flight.

“Us Plebes need our Lords and Masters.”

Good point for the Unwashed Masses, but not if you plan a simple life for yourself. :)

Wish I could say I hated these hypocrites, but mainly I ignore them as I HOPE they’re ignoring me. Only IDIOTS are buying what they’re selling. And lucky for them, ‘There’s a Sucker Born Every Minute,’ ~ P.T. Barnum

Nearly everyone of the c*********s want to lecture hard working men and women to not use the world’s thinnest grocery sack. I’m not believing they care for the environment, and frankly, they foul the air.

Pretty sure they all took Ubers to the airport and that they made sure they were EV only Ubers.

Right?

Livermore is a tiny municipal airport about 45 miles and two mountain ranges away. Really? Livermore?

I am a corporate and charter pilot. I’ve been to lots of big events at small airports. For example, Texas A&M football at College Station. Ol Miss football at Oxford, Mississippi. Nascar races at Bristol, TN and Talladega, AL. It’s not unusual for the airport to close taxiways and secondary runways and use them for parking.
