Here are some facts:

Here are some facts:

1. A small number of people commit a wildly disproportionate amount of crime, about 1% commit most crime and 3 to 5 percent commit ALL crime.

2. Offenders who commit major crimes also commit constant public order infractions, so policing public order incapacitates serious criminals.

The guy who gropes women on the train or mugs people probably didn’t swipe his credit card to get through the turnstile.

3. Nearly all the people killed in controversial “Black Lives Matter” incidents belonged to the tiny subset of recidivist criminals. Jordan Neely and George Floyd are both examples of this kind of person, and both should have been in prison.

4. Depolicing public order crimes to protect habitual offenders from police interactions and incarceration costs a lot of lives, like that of Iryna Zarutska.

So what would it cost to round up and execute 3,500,000 serious criminals?

What would be the net savings thereafter in costs of incarceration, policing, courts, trials?

What would be the savings in reduced medical costs, the human cost of deaths and injuries, the cost of stolen/wrecked/ruined property, etc.?

The bonus in terms of quality of life for non-criminals?

The “effectiveness” bonus, since the available police and courts would be able to deal with new crime immediately?

The “deterrence” bonus, since 3.5 million executions might deter even the stupidest criminals.

I’m not advocating mass slaughter. We should realize that tolerating a very high rate of serious crime is a CHOICE that our “society” has made. An alternative would be real life sentences for criminals.

Hm...not one mention of ethnicity

I think I've read that blacks, who are about 15% of the population, but commit 50% of the crime. Of course, that's just the ones who they catch and can document the race of the perp.

Correct me if I'm wrong.

The study does not indicate whether the crimes are repeated by the same person. IOW if you had a 100 black males and 16 assaults were committed by black males, it would be significant if those assaults were carried out by only 6 black males.

That's a good point.

Yes I’ve read the same stat except that it’s more like 8% of the population committed 50% crime. Take away the young and old ones

It’s expensive to incarcerate career criminals.

I think this fact is behind a lot of the ‘catch & release’ ‘justice’ we see. Back in the bad old days they had a solution to the expense of incarceration—capital and corporal punishment.

Singapore still uses the cane. I imagine few wish to experience it a second time. Minutes of excruciating pain, followed by weeks of serious pain and then the sentence is done, except for the memory of it. The criminal is free to resume his life instead of being locked up for years.

You're wrong. Here's why. Here's why the percentages are worse that what we read...

13% actually. And of that 13% about half are males who do most of the crimes. And of that smaller percentage we take out boys under 12  and men over 40 who commit fewer crimes.

If we would only apply justice to the maybe 5 percent of the population that's committing nearly 50% of felonies.... we would solve our criminal justice failures in this country.

its cheap to execute them, which is what should be done

Anyone already incarcerated for any crime of violence against a person who is convicted for a third needs the gallows.

They will be a constant threat to other inmates or any other person for the rest of their lives and there's no reason for the rest of us to put up with it. And the death penalty would be a real deterrent if and only if it were swiftly and often applied. Right now most condemned seemed to die of age related illness decades after conviction.

“It’s expensive to incarcerate career criminals. But those folks do a lot of damage. So it’s more expensive to let them run free.”

It is much cheaper to kill them once.

Set up a “crime prevention” commission with each member issued a 30.06 rifle and a case of ammunition..

Yep.

My little town tripped over itself to bring in a black police officer even though we are a city of 99% white (diversity don’t yah know). So we got a black police officer, They REALLY wanted a black chief but a black DEI chief but they settled for an officer. He brought his family up, and next thing we knew there were car break ins, graffiti, vandalism, shoplifting, and all sorts of petty offenses around town. There were black kids walking down the middle of the street hurling insults at people. Everyone saw what was going on, he brought his thug family with him, but no one in the city DARED point out the obvious fact that these minor crimes were all done by the ONLY black kids in the city. They moved out after the first winter and all those little crimes disappeared.

now we just have MS13 gang tagging all over the place.

These facts only cover those who are convicted because they cannot afford a slick lawyer.

To name just one example, the SWAMP is full of criminals who steal taxpayer money. At swamp dweller DELOITTE alone, consider how many are guilty. Consider how many H1b commit fraud but are never prosecuted. Consider how many Americans are co-conspirators in the H1b fraud but never prosecuted.

Here is how I broke it down on my first pass when blacks were approximately 12% of the total US Population (I wrote this a few years back, so blacks are currently 15% or so AI says, so I would update. this as follows):
As for the statement about crime perpetrated by black males, I think the more accurate way to state this is that roughly 1-2% of the population cause 48% of all violent crime. Here is why I would make that statement:

In WA state they instituted a 3 strike policy. If a person commits 3 violent felonies, you go to jail for life. So the politicians worked on the judges to lower charges to misdemeanors, or struck violence from the charges. During Covid they let prisoners out of prisons, so they wouldn’t get sick. Cities decided it was okay to live on the street, sell drugs, guns, and do them openly. Crime is way down, because they no longer arrest people. They detain them, then release without bail.

Reasonable people would look at this and understand this is not a condemnation of the entire black community

Yes, but the trouble is, we're mostly not talking about "reasonable people".

I concede that obvious and correct point completely!
