New images in the search for Nancy Guthrie:
Over the last eight days, the FBI and Pima County Sheriff’s Department have been working closely with our private sector partners to continue to recover any images or video footage from Nancy Guthrie’s home that may have been lost, corrupted, or inaccessible due to a variety of factors - including the removal of recording devices. The video was recovered from residual data located in backend systems.
Working with our partners - as of this morning, law enforcement has uncovered these previously inaccessible new images showing an armed individual appearing to have tampered with the camera at Nancy Guthrie's front door the morning of her disappearance.

She’d have to have been buried pretty deep for the buzzards not to catch the scent. Anytime there is a missing person, one thing to watch for is buzzards near the last place they were seen.
Mexicans have a long established tradition of kidnapping for ransom...
...just say’en.
If it was a drug cartel they would be much more professional about it than whoever this is. They would not target a 84 year old woman like her, the only vestige of wealth is her successful daughter.
Mr. Monk was only allowed an hour.
The sheriff initially said that it was the son-in-law who drove mom home on Saturday night.
A subsequent press conference had him saying that it was simply “a family member” and he was going to leave it at that.
Something sure stinks.
I'd have to know what the cops know about the son to lean towards him being involved. It just seems too risky for a supposedly intelligent person to contemplate, but who knows. I lean towards someone who heard a domestic worker say something about the woman and her daughter. They need to interview all the people who have been in the house over the past couple years. I heard they are doing that AND taking DNA. But I don't think it was an actual worker, I think they told someone. Sometimes hired help live in "communities" and word travels.
You have no idea of what evidence they may have but haven’t disclosed.
I think you’re right. it’s likely that it was someone who worked for her or knew someone who did. That’s a big place for an 84 year old in precarious health to maintain, and it looks very well cared for. She probably had several people working for her who would have knowledge of her home and routine.
You can see lights on either inside or outside the house across the street. We’ve been told there are strict light pollution laws in that area so it stands to reason those lights are on the inside of the house. That might help establish a time-line as to when this guy or these guys were there. Just spitballin’.
If it were me, I'd reach out to the head of NBC to leverage the full clout of that organization. I'd immediately notify the head of NBC News to contact their chief White House Correspondent (if Guthrie didn't have that info directly -- different departments) to immediately contact Karoline Leavitt and get word directly to President Trump that my mother was just abducted by persons unknown, and start by assuming that it was because of my connections to NBC.
Then call the cops.

Undoubtedly. And domestic type workers in Tucson are probably 100% Mexicans. Often they live in apartments in a mini Mexico - so all types are around and stories pass through the community quickly.

I doubt the cartel would want this kind of publicity. They target the kids of multi millionaires that are not public figures. You miss the first deadline they send your kid’s left ear to you in a baggie.
Something's off about the whole thing.
A pizza delivery man just showed up to Nancy Guthrie’s house and was able to walk up to the front door without the deputies out front noticing.— Brian Entin (@BrianEntin) February 10, 2026
someone on the news had a very likely scenario that could have happened- someone who worked there- grounds keeper, septic service person, phone company, pool guy- whaTEver- ‘could have’ talked about the old woman who lives alone- and been overheard like at a bar or whatever- and someone with experience in break-ins overheard and decided to try robbing- and decided last minute maybe to do a kidnapping, knowing her family had money-
or maybe a service worker themselves got with others and planned it- maybe they knew someone who did stuff like that ‘professionally’ and got together with them-
either that or mexican cartel or whatever- pretty bold thing to try with someone so known- suggests a more ‘professional’ operation however it evolved
Now it looks like no mustache
Looks like Blue jeans to me.
