There are some authors I avoid, but the site has some decent contributors.
Their pro-Israel stance is ok with me, generally,
but they don’t handle criticism very well.

The Holocaust was expressly directed at the systematic extermination of Jews individually and as a people, while the five or so million others sent to the camps and killed there had run afoul of the Nazis in one manner or another.
I basically agree with that ... governments kill more or less in proportion to the degree they assert power over, rather than service to, the population they govern.
It’s no accident that ALL of the real mass murder in the XX Century was committed by governments that embodied totalitarian ideologies.
Heck, Hitler was nominally Catholic. Made sure to give his mother a grand Catholic funeral.
When he attacked Catholics (and he certainly killed plenty) it was due to political reasons specifically applicable to the person (e.g., opposition to his socialist state).
The German National Socialist racial theories went far beyond considering Jews to be subhuman. The term "untermenschen" applied equally to Jews, Slavs, Africans, Arabs, and others. In their grand plan for world domination by the "master race", ALL "untermenschen" were to be eliminated.

I am always amused when folks here decide “this issue is important” and “this is not”.
In the case of the 2028 presidential primaries the Republican voters will decide what they think is important.
They could not care less what any of us may think about such matters.
Given that the primaries remain two years away (and two years is an eternity in these times) it is unlikely any of us have a good handle on what the important issues will be.
You’re right of course. Didn’t stop them from having black and Arab Waffen SS troops.
And the handful of blacks living in Germany didn’t face horrible discrimination, although they had some unfair limits (eg, they could not marry white people, could not join the SS, etc). Not exactly a good time, but not in the same category as Jews or Gypsies.

Yes, the articles on American Thinker vary in quality. That is ok with me, if it means a variety of voices are able to present.
In my opinion, AT has not helped itself by calling Tucker Carlson names. He’s probably thinking, throw me into that briar patch. His best complaint is all the name-calling that happens when you criticize Israel. So, AT proceeds to prove his point.
Perhaps someone should submit an article comparing Jews to Muslims, or Judaism to Islam, and ask Tucker why he can’t see a difference, or worse yet, gets it backward.
Another columnist sometimes complains about WASPS. That’s as helpful as complaining about Catholics. This kind of “conservatism”(?) we can do without.
Overall, I’m happy with AT. This article may be the worst I’ve seen.

The 5 million are very rarely if ever mentioned.
Yes Jews in the media were plenty grateful first 20 years after the war given the American typically Christian death tolls squashing Nazism etc
The industry of it and them piggybacking blacks of the civil rights claiming victim status and demonizing white Christians as a potential threat came later
I think Jews in the greatest generation knew the reality of American sacrifice and viewed it with gratitude to America
You can say the same about blacks

No the Holocaust is the Jewish name and commemoration of Jews killed in Europe from the thirties to the settlement in Isreal.
Jews let the gentiles commemorate their own dead in their own way... or not... which is apparently the case.
