A Utah mom accused of kidnapping her four children and taking them to Europe because she was convinced the world was ending has been arrested after the kids were found dumped in an orphanage.
Elleshia Anne Seymour, 35, was arrested in Croatia, the Salt Lake County District Attorney’s Office confirmed to Fox 13 on Monday, almost two months after the doomsday mom allegedly absconded with the children.
Her ex-husband, Kendall Seymour, has flown to Europe to rescue his kids — who are there with another American child also taken with them, he wrote in an update on his fundraiser on Sunday.
“The kids are trapped in Croatia in a state-run orphanage. We are in the country, trying to get the kids out of the custody of the local government,” wrote Kendall, who is the father of three of the children.
“We have to hire Croatian lawyers who specialize in child abduction, create and submit Hague Convention applications, hire court-approved translators, and extend our stay here by an unknown amount of time,” Kendall said as he sought to raise $100,000.
“Who knows how much money is going to be needed for therapy for the five of us, after this is all over,” he added.
The ex-husband added that a fifth American child, with whom Elleshia flew to Europe, is also now stuck in the same orphanage.
“There is also a fifth American child in this children’s home. My children were traveling with him and his mother. The fifth child’s situation is even more difficult than my own kids’ status,” Kendall said.
“We would like to help him as much as possible — his situation is going to need more legal help and strategy than ours,” he said.

The woman got them put into an orphanage in Croatia?
That lady is freaking nuts.

Something seems very odd about this story...

The lady has extreme TDS. Multiple kidnappings should hopefully give her life in prison.
She had them placed in orphanages!
The US State Department ought to be stepping in to resolve this and get those kids released to the father’s custody and taken back to America.
The American embassy there should be assisting with this. We have a LOT of influence/leverage over Croatia. It’s true their child custody laws are ... kinda weird ... but the embassy should be able to help a LOT.
I don’t understand why he didn’t mention any involvement of the US govt.

Yes, it does sound like consular officials not being all that helpful. The kids have had to have had passports to travel international. Get replacement passports and demand removal of the US citizens from Croatian custody.
The State Department can create and fly in replacement passports pretty quickly. Something is odd about this story. $100k is a lot to ask for a paperwork issue....
I suspect we’re going to hear a lot more.
I think she got arrested and the kids put into a state orphanage as a result. Croatia probably contacted the American consulate about the kids and that’s how they were found.
There is also another American child at the orphanage that they apparently travelled with, so there are two crazy moms in cahoots with each other.
The family learned that she and the kids had been staying with a woman she met online and the woman’s 13-year-old son in Dubrovnik, Croatia.
“The nine-year-old grandson of ours, the middle child, is surprisingly streetwise for his age. And he told the 13-year-old, ‘He, you should Google my name’,” Kendall said, “He knew that by Googling his name, this information would appear that he’s listed as an endangered missing child.”
He added, “Sure enough, the 13-year-old boy Googled Levi’s name and sure enough, found out that Levi’s an endangered missing child. So, he told that to his mom, this other woman, and she has enough moral integrity.”
The woman reportedly convinced Elleshia Anne Seymour to go to police station, where they were both arrested. The children were then taken to an orphanage, and their family members were informed the children had been located.
