The wife of a prominent lawyer was one of six killed in a horror private jet crash on a snowy airport runway.
Tara Arnold, 46, wife of personal injury attorney Kurt Arnold, died along with several of her friends on a girls' trip to Paris.
The Bombardier Challenger 650 business jet went down during takeoff from Bangor International Airport in Maine about 7.45pm on Sunday.
Dramatic footage showed the burning wreckage of the plane upside-down on the runway. Flight data showed it veered right during takeoff and flipped at 175mph.
The FAA earlier on Monday incorrectly said there were eight people on board including one crew member who survived.
Tara, a commercial lawyer with decades of experience, worked at her husband's law firm, Arnold & Itkin, since it was established in 2005.
She and Kurt live in an $11 million mansion in Houston with their two children, Jaxon and Isla.
The top Houston firm, to which the downed plane was registered, is known for defending undocumented migrants.
A page talking up the firm's expertise in aviation accident litigation was quietly removed from its website after the crash.

Get-there-itis has killed loads of “important” people on aircraft.
Ironically- she and her galpals were on their way to do the same thing
Old Pilots and Bold Pilots.....
This Challenger is a very capable intercontinental jet. Bangor is a launching pad for many transatlantic flights of private aircraft. We will just have to wait to see what the problem was.
Speculating with no knowledge other than first reports? I suspect ice on the wings developed while refueling. It probably didn’t seem like a big deal to the pilots because they weren’t there all that long (as I understand it). Given that it was dark, a cursory look on the wings may have been insufficient. While airborne, the jet can handle icing conditions. But sitting around is different.
No its not. They were taking off in a blizzard.
There is a deicing pad where it is done. The pilot is supposed to inspect the deicing before taking off. This jet was based in Houston, so perhaps the pilot had not had much experience with deicing. It was dark outside so even more difficult to inspect the deicing under floodlights.

Cannot the FAA stop all flights? These people were idiotic to go up in the storm last night. OK, it mightn’t have been the worst storm of all time, etc. but it was no weather to be flying about in areoplanes.
I thought she's supposed to say "Allah Akbar"...
How do you become a multimillionaire defending “undocumented migrants”, i.e. illegal aliens? One presumes somebody other than the defendants is paying for all that high-priced legal aid. Who, pray tell?

Private jet pilots can be under pressure to get the jet moving along.
...included a voice saying ‘let there be light’
Let there be sound, and there was sound
Let there be light, and there was light
Let there be drums, there was drums
Let there be guitar, there was guitar
Oh, let there be rock!
Rip......
No info in this article as to the identity of the other women passengers on the flight. Only her. Strange.

A bunch of AWFLs died. Rejoice!
I have always heard there are NO old/bold pilots.
No mention of Vanilla Ice being a factor.
So the other 5 who died are worthless nobodies?
