Elon Musk at Davos: AI to outthink humanity, robots to outnumber people
Rebel News ^ | January 22, 2026 | | Sheila Gunn Reid

At his first appearance at the World Economic Forum, Elon Musk predicted artificial intelligence will soon be smarter than any human alive.

“AI might be smarter than any human by the end of 2026,” Musk said, adding “no later than 2027.” Five years out, he went further: “AI will be smarter than all of humanity, collectively.”

Musk also warned that robots are coming fast — and in massive numbers. “There will be far more robots than people,” he told the globalist audience, describing an automation boom that will upend labour, economics and power structures far sooner than regulators are ready for.

Asked what drives him, Musk didn’t cite climate targets or social engineering schemes. Instead, he pointed to science fiction and turning it into reality. “I want to make science fiction not fiction forever — at some point science fiction to science fact,” he said.

Musk spoke of “giant spaceships traveling through space,” visiting other planets and star systems, adding with a shrug: “Are there aliens? Maybe there are aliens.”

AI is pretty good at IT and engineering already. The free toy AI we are using for news is trained on Internet garbage, so that’s what it spits out.

In Isaac Asimov's 1957 novel The Naked Sun, a human detective and his robotic assistant investigate a murder on a distant planet called Solaria.

This planet, which has been heavily terraformed, is home to around 10,000 people, and the ratio of robots to humans is 20,000 to 1. The vast majority of the robots are completely out of sight; they work in the fields, in mines, etc.

I think this is the sort of world the Davos elites envision making of Earth.

Musk an ideologue? lol.

He’s a narcissist who is only interested in his own self aggrandizement.

I’m right there with you. I just turned 72 with no major health issues so far, but I don’t know if I want to be here when/if these dramatic changes in our lives take place. I’m tired. All I want to do now is see my grandchildren (22, 15 & 11) grown, healthy, and happy, and then I can leave to be with my son and other loved ones in Heaven, according to God’s will of course.

Sounds a lot like With Folded Hands, a short story by Jack Williamson.

The British purposely moved Protestants into Catholic Ireland to solidify control over the Irish in the 17th century. Not that I’m a big fan of Tucker Carlson but he was mentioning a few of these historical events in his last video.

Robots won't need inexpensive TVs, washing machines, refrigerators or much of anything else.

Will factories just produce robots for robots?

Elon story:

Two economists are taking a walk in the forest one day. And they see a pile of s***. Economist number one says to the other, “I’ll give you $100 if you eat that pile of s***.”The second Economist eats the pile of s*** and the first one gives him $100. Later on they encounter another pile of s***. The second one tells the first one “I’ll give you $100 if you eat that pile of s***.” And the first one does. And one says to the other “well, we have the exactly the same amount of money as when we started, but we’ve improved the economy by $200”

So all the job postings are written by AI now. And they have fingerprinted your resume. So it can be ignored. If you are an American by birth, applying for a tech job is equivalent to watching paint dry. It is nationwide discrimination by national origin sponsored by our own government. It is breathtaking.

Robots mean automated machinery.

Welding stations in automobile plants are robotic. A good robot isn't just doing repetitive
work, but it can judge the quality of the work by using visual or tactile feedback, and making
adjustments.

Robots For Ronnie - Crack The Sky

Oh, Dad, what will we do?
I got another letter from Ronnie’s teacher at school
She said, it’s almost cruel
None of the other kids thinks Ronnie’s cool

The guys think he’s a queer ‘cause
He doesn’t drink beer or watch football
And all the little girls stay away ‘cause he’s just too fat
A fat little brat

I guess we need robots for Ronnie
A stainless steel group of chums
Robots for Ronnie
A boy and a girl
Maybe an aluminum cat

Every day he’s in his room
He doesn’t lock the door ‘cause he knows it’s really no use
I mean, nobody’s ever even been up there
If Ronnie were to blow up, I don’t think anyone would care

He doesn’t brush his teeth ‘cause he never talks to no one
He doesn’t wipe his feet because he’s never coming in
Coming in?

I guess we need robots for Ronnie
A stainless steel group of chums
Robots for Ronnie
A boy and a girl
Maybe an aluminum cat

Oh, we can talk about the old days
Parties and dances and leads in class plays
But all of the memories he’ll have
Are plugging in a friend and shining up a cat

We need robots for Ronnie
A stainless steel group of chums
Robots for Ronnie
A boy and a girl
Maybe an aluminum cat

And you will have no need of the implements of self-defense as robots monitor everyone’s behavior and control them.

Drones count as robots, but can’t be shot down legally. Dang! There are more pets in America than people, so more robotscould be a good thing, too. Industrial robots with no human emotional needs, good. A robot passing the meds in a hospital, not good. Computers are already “smarter” and faster than me in analyzing large databases, graphing, mapping, deciphering conclusions.
