When I was little, I would watch Amos & Andy reruns and enjoyed them as much as any of the other syndicated stuff of those days.

I also thought Kingfish was not a totally despicable character. Over the years, I have had some acquaintences that I considered Kingfish-esque in that they were obvious opportunists and not exactly trustworthy, but were otherwise sort of endearing.
