IQ has been going downhill since 1975 and they’re not sure why.
So if “politics/government” affects average IQ, how did our governments get to be so good that the average IQ in Europe and the old United States (meaning pre-1965) got to be so high?

IQ is mostly genetic. The environment part - intense schooling, challenging problems - come from high IQ populations creating such a world. From that comes even more intelligent people.
It should be obvious: Importing from “low-skill” countries, completely trashing our educational system, now losing formative minds to tech, and, as I suggested, paying the nonviable to reproduce. Oh, wait, there’s more: fluoride and other poisonings of our children.
IQ measures what it measures.
It does not measure initiative or common sense or street smarts or social skills or a bunch of other stuff.
It mostly measures the ability to process and retain and repeat and analyze information.
That is particularly helpful in an academic environment—and in many (not all) workplace environments.
The debate about what measures “intelligence” is endless—and no doubt many books have been written on the subject.
Genetics counts more than anything. your genes code for making proteins, and so they literally build you from the ground up. The brain is a energy hog, and so diet and good nutrition also plays a huge role, probably more than your environment. As you get older exercise is also important to keep the blood flowing.

There’s not one majority black, black-run country on the face of the earth that is prosperous and modern. Most of a huge, resource-rich continent to themselves and nothing to show for it. The only vestiges of any civilization are holdovers from their colonization by Europeans.
I truly don’t like having to say that, because of course there are many normal, responsible, very nice black people in the world (though mostly living in western countries that already have advanced civilizations), and in God’s eyes none of us is more valuable than any other. But there’s just no escaping the glaring problem of black-perpetrated violence throughout the world, as well as the fact that for some reason all of those black nations in Africa never advanced their civilizations one inch over thousands of years.
I think primitive pagan religions have a LOT to do with it, just as true progress in western countries would not have occurred without Christianity. But there has to be more to it than just that. Look at the Asian countries, for example. Japan, in particular, has the cleanest, safest, most orderly culture on Earth, yet is mostly Shinto or Buddhist, with many of no faith as well. Japan does have problems, though. Mostly the lack of a sense of personal identity and worth, beyond just a role as a cog in the collective. I think that’s why Christianity is growing now in Japan.
I don’t know, just thinking out loud. I truly don’t think of myself as inherently superior to anyone else on Earth as far as intrinsic worth, but the more we see black thugs committing heinous crimes at rates far in excess of their percentage of the population, and doing it not only in the U.S., but in any country where a significant number of them reside, I just get angry that no one wants to address head-on the obvious problem. Those of us who live responsible lives, non-criminal blacks included, shouldn’t have to feel cowed into ignoring the blatant reality. You can’t solve a problem until you admit what is causing it.
Asian kids are pushed to study harder longer and get great grades ... Meanwhile, US kids are pushed to find their gender identity & use correct pronouns ...
