maybe they think it will help them get laid ... it’s what the white hos seem to crave ...
White women gravitating to black men is another form of White guilt IMO.
Some artists. Speaking of the Grammys...
If those were 2 White dudes they never woulda won.
It's one culture that doesn't reject them.
Yes, young white men, starting in their own broken home, are rejected by our misandrist matriarchy.
you make a valid point ...
Unless they were gay. Then they would have been celebrated.
The Grammys will move to ABC next year as they lose the Oscars to Premium Pay.
Pop music is a travesty. Rather watch the Clash at the Madhouse than this joke that day.
For someone who has seen the decline of church music that caused him to be run out of church thanks to another family member, it’s everywhere. Taking voice 24 years ago allowed me to open the door to seeing the difference between Top 40 music in church and sacred standards of 300 years ago. And it’s clear which way I have found myself. I did a meme that FB took down from the 1999 GMA Dove Awards with the photo of Song of the Year being presented, and the presenter “bubble” says “The truth is ‘WAP’ is not in our envelope for Song of the Year.”
Watch a church whose choir sings karaoke hits versus a church that sings sacred church music. One’s as low as you go while the other’s in Yung Money’s line up the cushion. There’s a reason news/talk radio is in my radio and I’d rather attend the local symphony.
Agreed. And I think a great example of what will in the future pass for ‘entertainment’ is the movie ‘Ass’, featured in the movie Idiocracy. Looking around, though, honestly, it seems we’re already there...
There are apps out there right now that do this and it’s downright scary. You pick the song, provide the app with some samples of your voice, and before you know it, you are singing that song in perfect pitch. My neighbor is a big fan of Metallica. He picked a song called Master of Puppets, provided some samples of his voice, and boom, he’s the frontman for the biggest metal band in the world. It was his voice, perfectly laid over the song and I tell you this dude couldn’t carry a tune in a bucket if he had to.
If you think about it, computers were a very futuristic idea in ‘84 for most people, so artists had to actually have talent.....nowadays, music and voices can be manipulated to the point I could probably sound like Sinatra. 😏
‘Cause what the world needs now is a new Frank Sinatra
So I can get you in bed
What the world needs now is another folk singer
Like I need a hole in my head

Rap music is the highest point of the Black American culture
I am well aware of the decline of church music. Hymn-writing became a lost art by the middle of the last century, and in my opinion, the last great hymn that was ever written was Each Step I Take, from 1953.
And now, the electric guitar has chased choirs and organs out of most churches, and unlistenable "praise" music has replaced the old hymns.
Once upon a time, Black American Culture produced great tunes like The Maple Leaf Rag, Black & Tan Fantasy, After Hours and The Closer You Are.
